Where does this wire go? (1 Viewer)

What does this attach to? I was underneath my FJ62 and noticed it. Should this be loose?

It is forward of the gas tank and just before the tranny.

It's a black wire got an eye ring end that is not connected anywhere.

I'm trying to attach pics...let's see if it works.

Its a ground strap and should be attached to the t-case. (I think it is balck with a Yellow stripe)

Gotta say I didn't see a yellow stripe. But it is black

Looks like a fairly heavy wire gage.

Easy solution, see if theres a black wire bolted to the transfer case. If not, I bet thats what the wires supposed to be.

What's it's purpose? The ground for what?

I think its just a chassis ground, maybe a back up if the main ground were to fail?

Well...My turn signals are not working anywhere (flashers are good) and the vehicle keeps stalling after startup (methinks I need an FPR) but after seeing this heavy gage loose wire...I was hoping that was the root of all my problems. I just couldn't figure out where it would all tie in, though. Unless it is some major ground wire.
