So Im in the market for some 315/75/16s, and man im finding it difficult to pick one.

The cooper discovery and toyo open countrys have great reviews on this forum but I cant find a good place to purchase them, or even the trxus intercos.

I buy all my tires from my local Discount Tire store. They will match or better any Internet price I show them, and they can order ANY tire. I don't know if these policies are set by the store manager or the home office - drop by your local store for a chat.

Costco.
The only way to fly for me.
They will mount any size, as long as you have the lift to accommodate. You will have to order the tires and wait a week or two.
I have read that some people have problems with them not wanting to mount larger sized tires than manufacturer specs but that may be store specific. I have never had a problem.
Good luck.

Discount Tire/Americas Tire

I've bought tires at big tire stores and small ones. Ive concluded I can get better service from the small guys at the same or better price as the big guys. They match prices too...

Tires Plus, they price matched their online quote for me. They might not be the best price-wise, but they have great service and decent prices.

EDIT: I paid around $860 total with their hazard warranty (or whatever its called)

Good if you want Les Schwab branded tires (Wild Country, etc...) or Toyo tires. Otherwise, for most major brands, they are very expensive. 2 years ago a 285/75/16 MTR was $250 each at Les Schwab, $180 at America's Tire.

Bridgestone Dealer

discount tire for the mounting, toyota dealer for the balance and the alignment.

Tirerack for my last pair. Little over an hour drive for me to their warehouse. Nice place.

Little local guy - Tucker Tire. Best service in town. When I sliced a tire at DV, he replaced at his cost for the tire. No charge for balancing and mounting.

Discount Tire.

They now have a service where a truck comes to your house and changes your tires while you drink beer. It's actually $25 less than you'd pay in their stores.
