Looking for a way to source a (non-US) H151f 5 speed and transfer case

Mark

I'm looking for a 5 speed to put behind a 2UZ. I need it complete...

Wow... that is some data dump! Thanks for the info... although I'm not sure what the upshot is.

What I THINK it is is that there IS a part-time transfer case that can be used on the H151f but that they are hard to find... is that right?

Otherwise you are stuck with a full-time TC that cannot be converted to part-time... is that right?

So... is it TRUE that there exists a STOCK 5 speed manual transmission and 2UZ combo with a part-time case or,

if it can be done, those parts come from different applications and an output shaft needs to be swapped to make it work?

Maybe what I need to ask is: what is the path to a manual 5 speed with a part time case that will bolt up to a 2UZ?

Mark
(my head hurts)

Mark's spool conversions still drive the front axle.
.

Please explain this sentence to me. Are you saying that with the part time kit, the front drive shaft still spins?

Best I can ascertain...

H151 33020-6A270
HF1A 36120-60031

Transfer is the only listed that is manual.

That jive with what you've found, so far ?

I'd have sworn there's a bell housing for the XUZ to 15X, but can't find, now.

I have owned a few 80's in the past with part time 4 wheel drive, some in Europe (Belgium and Holland) and 2 in Panama Latin America. Not sure if it was the H151F or the H150F (?if I recall correctly) They all had 1hdt's in them though.(majority in Europe are part time with manual trans)

I am sure there are a few vendors in Europe that can get you the tranny and transfer, because of the distance I would choose the seller wisely because some of them only part out junk that should be scrapped.

Try All American import in Kaatsheuvel Holland,I believe that Maarten is here on this forum (he has a Mega Cruiser maybe easy to search for ;-))

I will be shipping a container in September from Belgium to Tx if you find anything that needs a space ;-)

I believe they where push button, one I installed one in my 40 and I never got the electric motor that switches from 2wd to 4wd to work so I gutted it and made a jungle rigged lever on it :-)

My memory is getting worse every day,you can ask Tapage as I am sure he knows what type the PTY Cruisers are........Right David ;-)

Both exist, although I can't determine what part numbers dictate which is which, and both are NLA.

Not certain, but one diagram on a Australian site seemed to show the motor and cover removing and swapping for the manual.
