That was installed last year during the worse flood we had here in Thailand. Word has it that there will be a repeat this year so I didn't take it off yet.

Smart, I like that idea if you expect a lot of deep water crossings. How does it attach?

It is welded to the tailpipe. Took it to my bro-in-law's shop and he recommended it over the "bolt-on" solution. If you want I can PM you a picture when I get home.

That is one sweet a** rig you got there!

Thanks!
Need a wee more lift to avoid rubbing on compression. No rubbing lock-to-lock, just when I bounce. Looking at a 2" body lift.

The best option, IMO

And what's with all of these Aftermarket wheels? You're not driving a Honda Civic! WTF

theres no reason for your truck to have to look ugly :)
it can be functional and look good

I've got to admit... 18's are the cat's meow when it comes to looks vs function ratio. Anything smaller (especially with large tires) just looks out of place to me.

But, by far the largest selection of tires for off road are for 17" wheels (maybe 15" might be more popular, but they don't work on LC's). If I'm in the middle of nowhere and shread a tire, I feel pretty comfortable I can go almost anywhere and get a tire for my wheel in my tire diameter size.
And it'll be cheaper than an 18"!! ;)

That's why I specifically wanted 17" wheels.

16" tires are in stock more often especially in the world market, many makes/models of tires are available in just as many sometimes more sizes in a 16" wheel (example, BFG AT), and several 16" tire sizes come to mind as the most used in expedition/overland travel, 255/85R16 235/85 or 265/75R16. Other than a 31x10.50R15 I don't know of a more utilized tire size. I got 16s for the tire selection, price and better off road performance than 18s.

To me the ultimate tire for the 100 would be a 275/85R16 or 285/85R16 but availability is sparse to say the least. Spresso is running some nice tall skinny 285/75R18s but they are $$$$s. Lots of options out there in 16/17/18 for the 100s all with some trade off or another.

I agree with the tall and narrow format. I think it looks rediculous when I see 15" wide tires on mall cruisers, unless they're mudding or sand dunes. Kills MPG too. Since I like and am running 35" BFG M/T's I don't have a lot of choices in tire width. I'd perfer a 35x9 tire, but I don't think there is one out there.

Yip, there are more offroad tire choices, however as time passes, this will likely change too, or at least even out. One other thing about going with the 18" at least in the profile I have is that cornering is significantly better than with the 16". Anything smaller than an 18" on a landcruiser just doesn't look right (in my opinion). But hey, to each their own!

Ok gentlemen

I got a dilemma, winter is here and my cruiser came with Pirelli Scorpions ATR....they are junk!!! no handling on snow and the truck just slides all overt the road like a prius or something.

I need help with advise on more agressive ATs. Which ones should i get. I know the more agressive i go the less sipping, the less handling on ice and snow. Which ATs are good all round but still closer to MTs. Thanks!!!

Or is there a very good MTs which will provide me with necessary traction??
