did Phil mean FR27 ? what about that ?

we did it once in the minivan :o like 17 years ago

Nope, not putting a minivan on that, we took your '40 on that as a test drive after installing the shackles. Well, "we" is used loosely, ask Michael.:whoops::hillbilly:

yeah, Michael just said he thinks it wouldn't work with a minivan these days

Isn't 27 closed from the South Fork fire?

I went through there a few years ago with a couple buddies. It wasn't that bad. I did fine in my 80, but there's no way I'd take our minivan through. That's plain crazy.

I was down FR27 about 6 months ago...lots of attention getting off camber due to washout in the corners. Narrow from overgrowth with some deep water ruts. The only thing that would keep me from taking minivan is the bushes:princess:

Why would you consider taking a minivan when you have a quiver of Cruisers? Am I missing something?

Also, wasn't there a big fire down there in July?

The suggestions that I have heard: Sunflower Mine Loop, maybe a bit warm, but would like to check out what Cliff did to it? Mount Ord, kinda short for a full day deal and not much shade/area at the top? Crown King, I'm kinda :meh:, but it has flooded since I was last there and fudge is always good?

Where do you want to go?

I dont recall going to sunflower loop or mt orb, but I know Crown King should have plenty of options and side quests if one chooses to take the harder or easier route. and the fudge and ice cream at the end is nice. 103 in phoenix, and 85 in crown king on sunday.(forcasted)

All strong arguments, plus Philly Cheese Steak, yum!:hillbilly:

Sunday is supposed to be hot, we need elevation and shade. The traffic on 17 & 87 will be brutal coming home on Monday:bang:, we would better off doing something off 60.

Is there anything for trails out of the heat, like up north, Flagstaff, Williams, something like that? I only know the trails ive done with you guys, and Id drive a few hours to get there if it meant spending the day in a cooler climate. But im in for anything, havent done a trail since Payette, which wasnt exactly cool weather either.
