These pics are about 6 months old now but I thought I'd share . I went to Guatemala in Jan. and did a little wheelin' with some locals I met on another board . They planned a little wheelin' trip for me and we went up the backside of "Volcan Pacaya" , which is a volcano that errupts on a daily basis . It was pretty awesome , I had a Turbo Diesel 4x4 Mitsubishi rental (the Toyotas were all out lol) . It was myself and 9 other rigs . Here are the pics :

This was towards the top , I don't remember what the elevation was but we were way up . You can see the clouds in some of these pics , that's not smog :

This is as far as we made it , you really can't go up any further than this , these dudes were all packing some heat so they did a little target practice :

We started heading back down at around 5 PM because it started getting dark and it had taken us about 6 hours to get up there with a couple of picture stops and a broken axle and a bent drag link . As we were heading back down the volcano started errupting , it was a bad ass sight , the pics look a little blurry because I took them with no flash . Otherwise you wouldn't be able to see the lava :

The next day we were going to Antigua , Guatemala and we were looking at the same volcano from the road and I took the first picture . A couple minutes later it made an erruption (second picture) , it was awesome .

And I swear there's is some really clean 1st , 2nd , and 3rd gen pick-ups all over down there . I think that's why they are getting so hard to find in the states .

And I took this picture because I get calls at work all the time about how much weight a Toyota can hold . People wanting to know if it'll be cool to carry a dirt bike and some riding gear , LOL . This is what people use these trucks for down there .
