Holy s***! When did they start making the iroks in a bias ply? Good choice man, let us know how they work.
Hildy

if you check out intercos web site they list both

my vendor only listed the bias in their book.part# I801

The first release of IRoks were bias ;)

The radials came second..

Trail only? Boggers are always good. "Cane" tires are unbeatable though in soft terrain. 23 degreee chevron with 1 3/4 to 3+ inch tread depth. Course they tend to come on largish sizes so you need room to run them.

TSLs work good on mixed trail types, as do the Michelin XLs.

Irocs! I run the 37in. radials and love them but would like to step up to the 39.5 bias now.

I run the Irok Bias 36x13.5x15 and love em:) they are awsome when you get down to the correct air pressure. I finaly figured out that at about 6lbs mine work great and hook up very nicely in varied conditions of mud/rock/moss/leaves here in new england:)

As noted, I'm a pretty big fan of the PitBull Rockers....run them in a 37 right now, and they haven't let me down anywhere, holding lines on the rock, grabbing traction on slick/steep climbs, and seemingly finding traction where others don't....

I've got a set of 39.5 IROK's too....the PBR's excell in every aspect other than clearance, and frankly, the added line holding and traction makes up for it. The only place the 37's lack is in approach...the higher center of the taller tire does have occasional advantages to getting over or between obstacles. The IROK's also chunked all to hell after only a few rides, and the PBR's have not....the tread blocks of the PBR are still very pliable after 3 hard rides, the sidewalls are only scratched despite Gilbert's sharp shale rock, and the tread block edges and lugs are intact...the IROK's wore the hell out of the outer blocks.

Ran 38.5 SX's, and while they were bullet proof, they don't touch the IROK or PBR in traction.

Price point....IROK....but if you can swing the added $$, the PBR is the ticket.

THE COOPER SST IS THE THING FOR YOUR OFFROAD RIG,[/url]

Is it just me or does that cooper look a lot like the new Toyo?

http://www.toyo.com/tires/tire_lines/off_road/opmt.html

I am having a rough time finding the prices on the Cooper locally (usually Coopers are WAY high here) and not sure on the Toyo. I will have to check both of them out.

My current tire is the 39.5 Irok. They are awesome. Same experience as Woody though. They are chunking badly.

Woody, how tall are the Rockers actual measurement? Take your pick on pressure...

I'm really considering them when I change tires, and If they're not much shorter than my SX's, I might give 'em a shot.

Although only "hardcore" at- heart and not YET my rig. Difference btwn bias ply tires and radial is that bias plys have the same thickness of tire all the way around so much stronger side walls, but they tend to get flat spots when the rig sits for a while and driving off trail with them is not very friendly especially at higher speeds. Radials have more flex to them and are more suited for DD rigs.

Please correct, if I'm mistaken or missed anything. I think that was what you were asking 40NOS when you say Dif. Unless u mean the difference btwn the frist release and second release in general. Then I don't know :flipoff2:

Question for all you folk in the US: Why not run the Mickey Thompson bias ply Baja Claw? They work incredibly well over here in Aust, awesome tread and traction on the types of ground we have over here, dry dusty, razor sharp rock etc. Just curious.... is it price?

Might work ok in qld, but no good down here in Vic, they dont like mud, are directional, so you cant back out of the mud you drove into, are terrible on gravel, especially directional, and under braking, as the tread causes them to skate over the top, rather than bite in, and the offroad racers who got given them for free to try handed them back and went back to tyres they had to pay for after the prologues....

My pitbulls arrive in a couple of weeks, will see how they go, but the swamper tsl takes some beating IMHO for pure offroad.

Nevermind.. just saw the review ;) 36.75" @ 10psi...

Well, that motivated me enough to go out and check my 38.5" SX's. Interco sez 38.3" Well, my 50% worn (11/32") SX's measured 37.5" at 23psi.. at 10, they were right at 37" even. - 15x10" wheel with Bobby Long beadlocks (which only add maybe 3/8" width)

on the truck, or off?

36.75 is aired up, but not on the truck with weight....
