2F that is not topped out at 85mph (never pushed it to top speed so far)

nominal 33" BFG ATs

4 speed manual

stock '72 carb (recent rebuilt by myself), sorta '80s dual advance dizzy, completely de-smogged

mileage is at least 15mpg on highway - best ever was 18mpg in Colorado (oh, and I have a heavy foot )

on the trail: 1 gallon per hour of wheeling (that's a rule, BTW)

Lemme' see........I fueled it up and on the way home lost the 2F to a bearing issue. It made it the 10 miles home and still shows full but it probably used a gallon. It's been sitting ever since, almost a year now, so I guess that's about 11 months a gallon.

Guess I lost my cruiser mojo. The Subaru gets a regular 27 mpg. Getting beat looking but it goes a lot of places it maybe shouldn't.

The BJ40 made an honest 30 mpg once - probably the only diesel cruiser to ever REALLY do that despite widespread claims. 21-25 mpg is more normal.
