Found a 1962 FJ40 for sale.
Corrugated hardtop with bi-fold lift gate, old school doors, the ones without cranks, 3 spd on the floor, transfer case shifter on the floor also, THE cool "Land cruiser" bezel, saginaw P/S.
Body is in good condition, no rust in the rear sill.
Thanks in advance.

Not a bad looking rig, but it does not have a '62 tub (it's from a '64), the frame was probably notched for the power steering, the doors seem to be missing hardware...it will take A LOT of work to get her back to stock...if you are a purist like me that is. Does it have the stock engine? Stock axles? Stock tranny?

What are they asking for it?

I'd go $500 - $900...and that is because I could use some parts from it, or a bit more if I wanted to play with it as is

Dean, it does appear to be a '62 tub, most likely the high posts were cut. The reason I say this is because if it was a '63/'64 tub it would have the place in the dash for a factory ashtray. This one doesn't have that slot...... I could be wrong but I do believe it is the original tub. Also it def. doesn't have the original tranny HTH

As for price I would start around $1500 if it is running and driving. Def. a cool early cruiser!

Ah yes...the ash tray...thanks JP!

Would not be the first to have the posts cut down, but as far as the dash goes, I was just looking at that radio hole that needed to be filled :hillbilly:

looks good "nick" also appears to be close to your house. tell them if they give you 100.00 bucks you will haull it off

If the top has the pop-up vent in the fiberglass portion, is in decent shape, and you don't want it after purchase I may be interested in buying it off of you to help offset your costs. Or you can post where this little gem is hiding give another MUD member a chance for another toy:clap:
