What's an 8274? Canadian parts supplier?

I fried the motor on my 8274...so I phone Warn in the U.S., they give me a Canadian number for a their recommended parts supplier here..I call them..and say "I have a Warn 8274..blah blah blah....."..he says..."umm wait a sec an Eighty-two-Seventy four?" "no, an eight two seven four" I say....he says, I'm not familiar with that winch....

OMG it's only the greatest winch Warn ever made...good grief....

Needless to say, that call was useless....

anyone know where to get parts in Canada??

Lug nut who answered the phone may not have put the m in front or the "-50" at the end

give the # M8274-50 i assume its a 50 aniv? or older M8274?

part # is the same for older or newer: #7536 for the 12v motor.....#8803 for the 24v motor

Just pick one up off of ebay. It will be cheaper than buying locally and probably easier...sounds like.

All you need to know is if you have the keyed motor shaft or splined.

Type in Warn 8274 on ebay and take look.

I did that, way cheaper, but not a real "warn" motor...

I don't know ...is there a difference?

I don't want it blowing up again cuase I'm running a cheap Chinese moter....

They look excellent to me. Don't pay more for the "Warn" name on a replacement motor.

If you have the splined shaft:

You wanted an 8274 but he only had 82 74? Is there something that I'm missing? Aren't they the same?

Sorry I called it an 82 74, he called it an 8 2 7 4 , yes same, but he had no idea what it was, and couldn't find any listing...under any combination..
