Just so folks don't think this thread has died- this would be the way that I would attach an h55f to a 4bd: http://www.4btswaps.com/forum/showthread.php?24175-Isuzu-to-H55-Landcruiser-adapters

I think it would make for the simplest, cleanest install. One might have to move the running gear a little further forward to get some space on the firewall- but that wouldn't be a problem in a 40 or at least that's what I am gathering from reading the thread "the Journey Begins"- As it's only 1.25" thick.

My swap probably isn't going to get done right away, as I am saving money to go to school in January to become a lineman, but it's definitely on the "to do" list, and I would like to keep this thread filled with as much useful information as possible.

Once you get that lineman job you'll have plenty of money to pour into that 40!

My swap into my 40 should be finished within this month but I'll just have to see how much time I can get to work on it. I am going with the A440 auto so my rear drive shaft will be pretty short. I'll post up some pics when I get it in.
