Michellin LTX 275-70-16 on OEM alloys

Trxus 285-75-16 on steel Toyota steel rims off road
 
CDan and others,

I have Michelin LTX on my 4-Runner. They are great highway tires like you mentioned. Have you tried them mudding, etc.? Would these tires be good for light 4 wheeling?

Yokohama Geolander AT's 285/75 r16 for street, dirt and rocks. I run at 40 psi on the street and drop to 16-20psi offroad. :)

weenie 31x10.5 truxxus mt's (what white lettering? :) ) raised lettering out ;p

somewhere around 30,000 miles on them now, have to get the paper to check exactly. seem to be holding up pretty well.

Very informative. I have read at other sites that Tall, Skinny, Aggressive Tread tires are the best for some off-roading. Can any of you vouch for that?
I did see where some here have said they thought the Skinny tires would make a differance on the plus side for gas mileage.

37/12.50/r17 BFG Krawlers on six inch lift and I can say that the tall skinny tire thing seems to work pretty good with mine and I think its because of the power to weight ratio of the 80 its just never gonna have enough horses to properly turn and clean large wide boggers as far as the mud goes but other wise that wider is better simple physics more tread in contact with the ground=more traction
