What should stock suspension look like on a 94 FZJ80?

My stock springs and shocks were spray painted gloss black by the last owner, trying to clean up the under carriage appearance. Not cool.

I also think you may have OME 861/2 coils on it. Here's mine, pre and post these coils on it. I also have 15mm spacers in the rear, and 20mm in the front. However I also have approx 200kg onboard continually (in these pics too) which likely approximately cancels the (rear if not front) spacer out of the equation. its also on 285/75/16 which is 33" equivalent

Crawled under today and took some quick pictures. Looks like I do have stock struts after all, I'm not sure about the springs though.

I get people all the time asking me what loft I have on my FJ, but for all I know it is stock still. I have looked at the suspension and it honestly does not look 23 years old, however, I am not entirely sure what I am looking for.

What is the stock color of the shock absorbers on a 94? How do I tell if my lift is completely stock? I have not seen any aftermarket writing on anything underneath.

Pic is attached for reference. I am running 33s.

@Travish325 what kind of wheels are those?

Not sure how proper it is to revive an old thread so apologies if improper however read this one a few times and I am a bit stuck. I am trying to figure out what lift is installed on my rig. In the avatar picture it has 315x75x16, I just put on a set of studded snows in the size of 285x75x16. I took a measurement from ground to the fender flare and I am at 38'. This seems like it would be a 4" lift from stock? This rig does rural mail delivery at times and it is proving to be a little high for most of the boxes on the route.

Measure center of hub vertical to flare/wheel well. That should get our guesses within range of lift you have.

thanks! i continued to research some more last night and found a place here on the forums dedicated to suspension of these 80's which was also helpful. There is a ton of info here i am still going through! All that said it does appear i have a 4" inch lift. I believe I am going to look a get a spare door and make a custom half door or maybe fabricate one....not quite sure yet.

I know it has been a while since you posted but what bumper is that

That is a trailgear bumper

People would ask me all the time after I removed the back bumper and had mine on 33's what kind of lift I was running. Stock hi is equal to what an jeep with a list would be.
