What kind of muffler are you running?

I just bought my first UZJ100 and I want to upgrade the muffler and possibly the exhaust system. I wanted to get your guys opinions on what you are running and how you like it.

Thanks again,

I got the Borla catback and the kn along with it, I like to think that it canceled the power loss from going up to a 285 tire. Seat o pants meter swears by it too

Magnaflow, removed resonator...love it. Wife's ride, she loves it. Nice rumble that most wouldn't think would come from it.

I have a little crack behind the original muffler. I'm thinking about going to something like a 30" Magnaflow. Should have a little tone without being very loud.

I have a Borla SS Cat Back I bought it online and then paid Monroe to install, Total was around $1100. It's only a little louder than stock as I didn't want a loud drone if I'm taking a long highway ride.

Stock exhaust with spintech muffler. Nice subtle sound and just a little over a 100 bucks.

I used to say 4 cylinders and 6 cylinders should be seen and not heard - that only a V8 should "allowed" to rumble. But then I got a Land Cruiser and added a new criteria: The 0-60 time should be in the single digits. My 2006 - with VVTi - has a time of (gulp) 12.7 seconds. Stock muffler for me. Nice and quiet. ;)

There are a few vids on Youtube of 100's with DT headers - makes it sounds like a V8 should!

DT Headers, EMS Mid pipes (no cats), Magnaflow exhast, EMS tailpipe with a Moroso spiral flow "muffler"/resonator welded in the last bit.

I have the same. Sometimes I wish the drone wasn't there but it sounds great!

Personally I've never had an issue with the so-called drone. I get it and can hear what some are talking about but have never not liked the choice. Maybe when I'm really old and grumpy I'll quiet it down. I used to have a 92 5.0 with a MAC cat-back, no cats in the mid-pipe, so from that perspective the LX is quiet ;).

I only get it at certain RPM's. Usually when I'm on the highway I don't notice it...its only while cruising in the lower RPM's around 30-35mph or so. It kinda reverb's through the whole truck. When you get in the gas though....:)
