Hi guys, I have this small metal box that is mounted on the inner driver side fender, anyone know what it's for? It has a nipple coming out of it, I am guessing a vacuum hose attaches to it, where does the other end of the hose go?
Thanks.

I don't have a clue but it might help if you post a month and year. Not everything stayed the same between 1961 and 1984 under the hood of the FJ4X:cheers:

Howdy! I'm bettin it's a vacuum booster. Small line goes to the nipple on the back with the itty bitty hole in it. Large line with a hose barb screwed into the middle would be the vacuum supply. John

Your right, looks like it was abandoned way back.
I got this truck from my cousin and it's been sitting for almost 10 years when I picked it up from his house. Cleaned out the tank, rebuilt the carb, changed the clutch master and slave and next is to tune it up and then get it registered. The truck was smog legal before it sat and I want to make sure everything is hooked up and looking good before I take it to have it smogged. Maybe I should just remove it completely and get rid of the evidence.
Thanks.
