This is on the passenger side of my 2F. What is it? Obviously there is nothing connected to it and the other side is also disconnected.

Mechanical fuel pump, pumps of the cam arm of the motor.
Looks like maybe the PO installed a electric fuel pump, and instead of removing the mechanical pump and plating it off, jsut disconnected it

Fuel pump outlet.. You pump input has probably been disconnected from that pump and connected to an electric pump for some reason..

the odd thing is that the PO went to the trouble of rotating (clocking) the upper half of an early fuel pump to fit with the later oil filter loaction, but didnt remove the pump when it crapped out?
