larger and bonded with structural adhesive will dramatically improve the strength.
 
None of my damn business, but if it was me, in that situation, I'd absolutely add a plate to the other side of the floor. Minimally a nut plate like is used for seatbelt harness anchors, larger area if possible.

Sh¡t stirring aside, even adding some structural, square washers under and over the floorpan to sandwich it between two structural washers to prevent bolts tearing out in an accident would be a big improvement.

Still, not awesome, but an improvement.

Something like below. A tiny cost for some improved safety.

This is a very interesting thread! Some good information here.

I just wanted to add that I've found the FJ80 seats to be comfortable, but FZJ80 seats have not been. (Sample size of one and one.)

Not really sure why that is. Maybe I don't know how to adjust the electric seats properly?

The Range Rover seats do look very nice.
