Good idea for a thread.
Technically it was a few weeks ago but I picked up my 14b, some cruiser housings, and a tf904 to start my build. Started getting the 904 torn down to get the output shaft sent out to Branik to get shortened and resplined for Brennan Metcalfs shorty D300 adapter.

Do Truggys count:flipoff2:

After 18 years of abusing the stock wiring harness, I developed a short deep in the tangle and in a fit of frustration pulled out the entire mess. Bought a skinny harness from Painless:bang: and finally got that installed. I am happy to get the ECM, relays and fuses out of the engine bay and away from puking PS, oil and brake reservoirs.

With the wiring mess out of the engine bay, I was able to upgrade the PS reservoir and cooler. Hopefully no more puking from those.

So when I bought this rig, the prior owners asked to keep the hood as all of the owners in their club have signed it and they’re going to hang it on their wall.... how could I say no to that. And, I really wanted to FJ 40 hood anyway.... So finally went back in the parts barn and found a good candidate but now need to find ideas on how to section it and look good. Anyone have ideas?

I was gonna start with "What thread pitch is it" :) 7/8x18?

you guessed it!

Here is the site I ended up using. decent resource once you figure out things.... I was able to sort by size, although they listed very few 7/8 .... finally figured out to put .875-18

Got an old twisted Fj40 hood sliced and diced... cut out 5”
