Stock it had a thick layer of PC. It should take a good beating before any touch up would be needed.

I also went to the PPG automotive shop and they read my color code, mixed up some paint and put it in an spray can for me to hit the bumper / head light fillers with....$45 that's way less money than the body shop wanted for painting them.

Love the triple X rating

with a XXX rating, it's gotta be able to take a pounding:)

I hope not. It's for the plastic that fits in between my head lights and bumper.... Ha

Picked up this monster from the PC shop today. Matte black textured.
Probably the smart thing to do.

How was it finished from ARB?
Mine came in satin black PC and has actually held up very well to general use for 8 years now. Whenever it starts to get funky, I'll have it galvanized and PC again so it can last longer than the rover it's on ;) Same for the Kaymar rear with dual swing arms. Had ARB made a rear, I probably would have gone with theirs just for design consistency but the Kaymar has been basically fine.

Not sure what the proper finish name would be. Mostly satin with just a little sheen to it. Over all the factory PC was think. I found a made in China sticker on it.....boo

At last! It's my turn to post here!

Installed cup holder divider.

Installed new rear wiper blade.

Installed new engine air filter.

Installed new cabin air filter.

All parts sourced from Cruiser Dan.

:)

HaHa.

Yeah, pics OR IT DIDDN'T HAPPEN!

I hid our wedding photo album and dvds and tried that line with the Mrs.

She thought about if for while then advised I could prove I owned the 200 in the garage if I could open it.

I looked at the empty key hook by the door and promptly found the album and dvd. She mysteriously found my key fobs. Thus happily the points became moot.

This is slow going. Glad I don't do this for a living. My hat's off to mechanics.

You staying with wire, Willie? Going to look like a stealth weapon when its built.

Yes I'll stay with wire for the time being. Thanks

It's a long install with lots of little steps. Its coming along great though. Cant wait to see it finished. I see they pulled the headlights, smart move.

Be sure you are present or give approval when they set the gaps. The fender gap is critical as you know, but the other one is when looking straight down over the headlights, the bumper needs to be in front of the lights, not under it or they will get damaged when the bumper flexes.
