Drove solo to the end of the world-- Cape Spear, Newfoundland. As far east as you can drive in North America.
Ran into
@sreyes1103 in Illinois.
As I was in line waiting to board the ferry from Nova Scotia to Newfoundland, I spied an 80 a few cars up. With the "ZA" sticker and international plate, I figured this truck had a few stories to tell.
As luck would have it, the ferry was delayed and I got a chance to meet the owner of the 80. As I was introducing myself I mentioned that I was from Kansas City. The driver of the 80 asked, "That's in Missouri, right?" I thought that was some esoteric geography knowledge for someone from Nova Scotia. "I bought this truck in Springfield, MO!" Turns out this 80 had passed through the hands of
@Ozark cruiser during its journey from South Africa to Nova Scotia! Small world!
First Meeting of the North Sydney/Port Aux Basques Toyota Truck Club:
Had
@kw90surf and Nick (@adventure_right_meow (former 60 series owner, current Tundra owner)) over for some tea. Keenan was heading out for a couple days of camping, so we linked up for some tough wheeling and some epic camps.
I won't spoil all the details here, but if you're interested in more, subscribe to my YouTube channel in my signature (hold phone horizontal on mobile browsers). Newfoundland episode will be up sooner or later. In the meantime you can check out the Iceland series.
