Prepped the underside for winter since my state likes to use insane amounts of road brine. Coat of fluid film on top of a coat of cosmoline black. Feels good man. Edit : I was able to get the insides of the frame with a tube and brass nozzle that sprays in a 360 degree pattern.

This mod is about as unsexy as they get, but I'm doing my best to winterize my '13 LC that I imported from N.O. to Michigan. In addition to getting it rust proofed, I made sure the KDSS shutter valves turned, slathered them with marine grease, and then covered the window with a couple pieces of heavy duct tape. I know it's not going to stop all the snow and salt from getting in, but I'm hoping if I keep my eye on it over the winter that the valves will be OK come spring- and then it's 2" lift time!View attachment 2519607
If they turned and you covered them with grease, you'll be fine in the spring. There are some other cruiserheads in the G.R. area. Also a Lake Michigan Land Cruisers section on Mud.

I was about to do the same thing - cover the holes after slathering the valves with grease. But then I held off covering the holes thinking that would prevent any drainage of snow/ice/mud etc... and could actually make things worse. In other words covering those holes could cause a build-up of crud that could freeze into a solid block. Thoughts?

Yeah- that's a good point. I think we're supposed to get snow this weekend, so I'll use it as an experiment to see how things are looking after a drive. If the tape is holding snow in, then probably better off without it. Either way, I've got the marine grease covering the bolts, so should be OK.

Slapped on some snow shoes for the winter.

Nokian Hakkapeliitta LT3 LT275/70R18 E 125/122Q boosted up to 41psi (thanks @gaijin !!!)

My local Discount Tire was able to special order these - thanks to @edwardg for that tip from another thread.

Let it snow.

(mind the dirt!)

Pulled it out of storage, went for some new tires, still have to delete running boards and install rock sliders.

Quarantine in CA is making everything a PITA.

I ordered some too..... hope they arrive today. Still on the quest to find a proper cargo mat for the back with my 3rd rows removed. See the "I apologize in advance" thread.....
I just ordered a 2020 Heritage Rubber Floor Mat from Toyota, on advice from some one on this 200 series forum, my new 2021 LC will get seat removed in the next month or so

I updated my front skid design.

Weather was nice enough today to finish wiring up the lights I had fished wires for. Hot wire runs to rear cargo light, and ground is off of the 3rd brake light. I've got red or white now, one side on switch gets me white other gets red.

Can't tell what you changed with the front skid (other than camera angle:flipoff2:) Also, what's the plans for the swaybar?
He just wanted to show off the Kings haha

I made it 4" wider at the top and tapper down. I know, slight change, but I didn't like the look of the original.

No need for a sway bar, handles fine without it!
