Thank you my man. Steering feel is something I didn’t notice a change in, but now that you mentioned it I paid attention to it while driving. This might be placebo, but it feels a tiny bit heavier, more like my sports cars. But I also did an AHC flush yesterday and felt so much difference so it could have been from that. I have about 273k km (169K miles) and the AHC fluid was never changed until now. I feel a night and day difference. Truck drives like a new 200 now.

Good to hear. Fresh fluid never hurts anything. Seems like a fair amount of folks are worried about scrub radius with offset wheels. I don’t think Toyota trucks are as sensitive to changes in it as sports cars are.

Any Lithium based chasis grease NLGI 2 will work in all locations (Slip/Slide Yokes & Universal/Spiders Joints). I purchased Lucas #2 Red "N" Tacky.

Good old M1 Synthetic works well and can be used on lots of other things too.

Finally got around to replacing all 5 tpms sensors with densos. Used the carista app and their obd2 reader. After reading the tpms horror stories on here I was a little concerned things wouldn't go well.

The programming process took seconds. Just plug in the new sensor ID Numbers into the app and then hit the reset button under the steering wheel and you are good to go.

I broke the bead by using the bottle Jack and my tow hitch reciever. lesson learned break the bead at least 6" from the valve stem to avoid snapping the sensor off into abyss between the wheel/tire, exhausting trying to fish it out.
Refilling the tire went smooth and no balance issues.

Pile of goodies on the porch today. Finally the tires came in after a delay, probably because of CA fires?

Looking forward to seeing these on your LX!

That's for the catch @grinchy . All that effort to downsize tires...LOL. Corrected.

Will these mount on factory wheels? Look super wide!!

Yes, min width wheels on these are 8.5", which are stock wheels. I prefer to be on the min size of wheel fitment for a couple reasons: allows the sidewalls to better protect the wheel face, retains the beads better when aired down.

Contrary to my road vehicles where I tend to like to be on the wide end for sidewall stability in cornering.

@supercarrera , may be a few weekends before I make it to the tire shop so don't hold your breath.

Love this and have been trying to picture how to use the space - nicely done!
Thanks! I was toying with the idea of making a product out of it, but not sure yet. There's not a lot of rigid places to mount stuff back there. This one uses brackets that go up to the side of the radio head. Plenty strong for this application, but I'd love a better mount to offer RAM mounting, etc.

Not sure a Ram mount would be great in there, with the shifter it can get a little tight so all of your flush mounted items seem a better fit. Insane how much dead space it carries from the factory. Ash tray (shallow), key tray (shallow), etc. Anyhoo, brilliant work!

Radiator finally cracked a few days ago, right at 101k. I was expecting to have to do this job soon so I had a radiator, water pump, fan bracket, and fan clutch in the garage waiting for the radiator to go. Replaced the belt and tensioner while I was in there and put in new long life antifreeze. Pretty easy job, the only tedious part was the lower radiator bolt on the passenger side.

I kept finding clumps of fiber all over the place so I dug into the engine bay and found a nice little mice nest. It was old and nothing had been through there in a long time. I freaked out and looks through every wiring harness around that area. The only damage I found was some of the plastic wire insulation had been chewed off, but the wires were good. Got pretty lucky I must say!

Sweet nice work! Got to commend you on the cleanliness of your engine bay. Mine looks like a Hoover vacuum bag exploded under the hood lol.
Nice catch on the rodent nest.

Slowly undoing all the deferred maintenance from the previous owner. Don’t be fooled the outside is filthy. Only the engine bay and interior stay clean!

Did you need to remove the front bumper to replace the radiator?

Brilliant move on the lower bolt.
