New tyres - Toyo AT2 in 285/70R17. A little less aggressive than I would normally run. Shortages on a lot of other styles in that size here at the moment. I did consider the Nitto Ridge Grappler, but I have a set of these AT2's on my other 200 and it got 104 000km out of the previous set, so I thought I'd see how they go in harsher conditions. Unfortunately the Toyo RT's I put on last time only made 60 000km before they were pretty badly chunked out, then I got a stone puncture straight through the centre of one, so they had to be scrapped. So far the last few sets of tyres on this wagon have worn as follows:

Toyo RT's - 60 000km
Cooper ST Maxx - 15 000km (from another work Hilux but we couldn't get them to balance properly or wear right. so put them on mine to finish them off)
General Grabber AT2's - 55 000km
Cooper ST Maxx - 85 000km
BF Goodrich KO2's - 100 000km (2 made it this far, 2 split vertically through the sidewall between 50K & 80K km)
Cooper AT - 45 000km (had done a few kays (maybe 20K km) on another vehicle first)
Factory tires - 45 000km

Started process of deep cleaning newly purchased 2009. Removed all seats and found the grossness of the daily mall crawler. As you can see from the pictures lots of use of the Bissell little pro extractor in my future. Also, you can see the ingenious solution to a weak console clip. Amazes me how one just doesn’t order the $12 part. That one is on its way. Seats are getting the deep clean with Leather Love. I’ll post more pictures after I get more cleaning done. We could make this fun, how much money/change did I find under the seats/carpet (Total monetary amount)?

Cheers,
Doc

Wow, that’s a lot of gross. I’ll never understand how people can drive around with this level of filth. I drop a fry and it’s like the scene in ‘Alien’ with the dripping acid blood... all hands on deck to secure the mess.

Total monetary amount found: $4.76

Swapped out the std bulbs for Silver Start Ultras. Haven’t driven at night yet but looks much better. I have small hands (sorry honey) so I was able to do the drivers side without removing the battery. I have yellow fog light bulbs to go in but didn’t want to take that on today.

I cleaned her up last weekend as well. Wash, clay and wax. Leathertique on the inside and got the Bissel after the carpets. Lots of mall crawl stains as well. Some came out, some didn’t. PO must have been a beach bum as there was a ton of sand in the tank.

Its a little crusty underneath (came from MA) so I need to get it in a lift or jack stands and wire brush and paint.

R&R'ed the rear brake pads this morning. Used OEM Toyota pads. Got all the life I could out of the set in there. Next time I will need to replace the anti rattle springs that go on the back of the pads. Anyone have the part number handy?

Installed BFG 285/75r17 E rated tires on KMC KM717 Bully OL wheels with +18 offset. Also added the OME UCAs to my OME 2 inch lift. A little fender liner trimming and now we are ready to go off the pavement! 🤙

Looks awesome! How is the ride?

Thanks! Its a little rougher than before because of the heavy E rated tires but it feelings more stable and planted. It gets alot of head turns haha.

It’s wild how much better it handles through corners with 10 ply tires, isn’t it? At least my LX feels like it has less body roll. For me it’s worth the dip in fuel economy and slightly stiffer ride.

These px6 are easy to install. First time doing anything to a car. Everything seems to work fine including cameras.

I got mine installed on 2013 LC200 and it worked for a few minutes but then lost power. Upon further inspection the power pins to the unit were floating in the molex connector and not able to make good contact. I was unable to fix it myself, so Phoenix has a replacement wiring harness "in process". Its been almost 8 days with no change in status. I'm getting pretty frustrated with the lack of communication and progress on fixing it.
