Awesome. Wish i could stay another week. Rain impacted Top of the World run, just too slick. It is chilly now but it is heading back up to 80 90's again. Definitely see haze and smell the Colorado fires. Traffic in Moab was horrible with road construction cutting a down a lane each way for a portion. Better since the holiday weekend passed. Filling extra fuel cans in evenings to avoid that was the way to go.
Not very exciting, but I installed a set of OEM Toyota side visors (08611-60880).
My fingers were almost too thick & stubby - had to struggle getting the little rubber caps on the back of the pins that help hold the visors in place when underway.
Replaced the last of the halogen bulbs that were hiding in my foglights with yellow leds - I still prefer that contrast in snow. Got the rear seat covered by Escape Gear in tough canvas. Leaving the Front and center console off for now. Great upgrade for the dogs in the back. Rounded it out by throwing a third factory bar on the roof for support for the cargo basket, roof box or otherwise. Busy days!
Added an OME NITROSHOCK and spring kit and Goodyear Ultraterrain 275/70/18 tires, looks killer. I took her out to the desert for a trial run and she rubs everywhere. I have trimmed everything plastic in front and behind front wheels and now need to decide of getting into a body mount chop or downsizing the tires. Everything I read this sounded like the right setup but I’m not sure which way to go? The only thing that fits is my platform I am working on, so at least I can measure something.

Keep the tires, make them fit. What are the width and the backspacing of your wheels? If I had to guess the backspacing of your rims might be part of the problem.

You could have taken that exact same photo of me the 2nd time I had the dash apart to fix the wiring on the Grom unit. Its all actually pretty simple but it does take some work.
New shoes today! 285 70 R18 Ridge Grappler. The tires are now proportionate to the lift height. The Discount Tire I purchased the tires through was initially very hesitant to mount the. Seeing the tire unmounted led me to believe they would not fit so I settled on a 275 70 R18 KO2's. I went back a few hours later to have the 285's mounted. To fit the spare I had to remove the small mounting ear on the crossmember directly above the rear axle. So far initial impressions are positive, but I only have 30 miles on these tires. No rubbing at full lock in both directions.
Also my adjustable track bar showed up, easy install, just takes some time to adjust the axle back to center.
I have started gathering parts for a 4.30 gear swap. Sourced a front diff with 40k for super cheap locally. Rear third member assemblies are proving to be quite expensive.
Pondering the idea of trading the trd wheels for a set of oem wheels, if anyone is interested pm me and we can talk.
Knocked out a relatively minor wiring project. I originally had the light bar switch where the headlight washer switch was. I never used it and I had run out of wire and time when I did the light bar install and that was the best spot for it. I also had the ARB rocker switch for the air compressor mounted in the engine bay next to the compressor. The switch failed, but I thought the compressor failed so I bought a power tank. Once I realized it was the switch, my assumption was that maybe the switch shouldn't be in the engine bay. Finally got around to moving both switches and hooking the headlight washer back up. Easy and simple but time consuming. With temps here dropping below 100 for a couple days, I decided to knock it out. Yet another reminder to do things right the first time.
Believe it or not, I’m still using all 5 of my original TPMS sensors installed in Japan’s factory in 2007. Continually amazed that ANY constant-on battery could fully power anything 13 years in...but all five have been flawless.

Wow that's amazing, quite Impressive. my 2013 needs new sensors and it looks like mine aren't even the original OEM ones currently installed. Broke the bead on my spare to see how difficult it would be to access and replace. Seems straight forward with the carista app and reader. hopefully I knock this out this weekend. Got 5 densos ready to install.
