You didn't hook n loop the headliner yet @Markuson? Times a wasting!

Heh. Nope, and won’t be doing that, just in case you were partly serious.. :) it’s too weak...soft...and not suitable for screws.

Ha! :)

Honestly, this Velcro thing morphed into a huge project that is a massive pain to do.

Had I known how much trouble, I might not have attempted it. But now that it’s done, it’s turned into a really useful mod.

I know the screws make it look all Gene Simmons (as Taco told me in a PM haha) but that was never the intention. It was either screws or fail... :)

@TonyP , this one’s for you... :hillbilly:

(After Baja, I remembered Tony saying that next time he’d Mount a paper towel thingy for cooking, etc. I agree. -So helpful when grease is flying...)

**This is one of a nearly unlimited number mount spots with hook&loop everywhere. :)

I'm glad out of the 98% nonsense I yap, something that's useful made it's way through.

Just got done with 1000 mile trip to visit family for the holidays and smoked bamber literally 11 miles from the house...

I knew there was a reason I was looking at bumpers the other day.

Talk to insurance about steel.

TJM T13 might be only slightly more than a replacement...and they just might let you grab that instead. They would be smart to do so if you are in deer country!

I will see what they say. Kind of what I was thinking.

Depending on the insurance, after you get some estimates they'll just cut you a check and have you 'fix' it. Or go to an approved repair facility and have them deal with fixing it. The first option is ideal of you want to 'repair the vehicle yourself' however that may be. :D

Sorry to hear, but it looks like it went as well as it reasonably could? Is it only the bumper cover, fog, and wheel liner that's damaged? Headlight and fender all good?

It did go mostly as well as could be, everyone is safe so that's really all that matters.

Unfortunately if bent the lower forward edge of the bottom front part of the fender just a bit and cracked the paint right at the edge. Also cracked the grill and pushed it in about .5" on driver's side. Headlight seems good.

Bought four used 265/65R18 Duratrac tires today and had them mounted on some used 18x8 50mm offset Enkei wheels I picked up last week. Then had them put on the 2011 LC in place of the stock wheel/tires.

Now waiting on some rain; then we'll see if the Duratracs can pull us to the top of the mountain at the tree farm. It's about 700 foot of rise in 2400 foot of run, just an old mud and rock mule trail from back when my wife's grandfather used to farm the top. It's an interesting drive even when it is dry. It gets very interesting when it rains. The 4Runner i just sold could not pull it in the rain even with 33" Cooper ATPs.
