Are those Stock UCAs under there? Having problems with caster??

They are Total Chaos so no problems with Caster at all. You couldn't do a lift like that without aftermarket UCA's though for exactly the Caster issue.

Ding ding ding, we have a winner!

T
can these points be used at Slee :)
That be Slee.

My favorite seats, too, because sitting there means somethin cool is going on with my LC.

This.... But has anyone figured out how to remove the reverse lights on an LX or do I need to figure it out and post it? As usual, thanks all for the great ideas! My wife loves the tray. I installed LEDs on my 100 many years ago and they were so much better. Don't know why it took me a year to get a set for the new LX!

-Lift tailgate...
-Unscrew the three plastic-headed screws...
-Then PRY PRY PRY...waaaay harder than feels safe...and the entire light unit comes off.
(You'll think you are pulling too hard...but it requires pulling hard)
-Peel back the foam that covers the hole...and replace bulbs, etc.
-Snap light housing back in (opposite the pry thing)...
-Replace three screws...

Tadaaa!

Sorry Man, I've got an '11 LX...no screws visible. I'm guessing I need to go in through the storage bins on the tailgate. I'll post pics...

You are correct. Once you remove the storage bins, you can remove the clips and panel and access where the bulbs are.

Ah. My mistake. I was thinking LC.

**What threw me was the big "LAND CRUISER" marking peaking through on the chill box insert in your the photo.**

:) So ya. You're on it now via another post.

Introducing @sleeoffroad 's Fog Light adapter for ARB bumpers!

This adapter replaces ARB's available fog lights with the much-improved Rigid 50481 SAE compliant D2 flood light. What does that mean exactly? A whole lotta light and 'street legal' for highway driving (most duallys or D2s are technically not street legal).

And when I say a 'whole lotta light' I really mean it - the pics don't do this justice. The beam pattern is level and won't blind oncoming traffic, and it reaches both ditches with nearly 180 degree field of view - the side-to-side span of illumination is incredible. This improvement over OEM cannot be described here - you have to see it to really appreciate it.

Special thanks to Amory and team at Slee for getting the ARB Deluxe Bar installed yesterday with this fog light upgrade! Give him a call if interested in the fog light adapter - as you can expect, every detail is well thought out and the quality is top-notch. Hardware is sturdy and the fogs are adjustable both up/down as well as side/side to match your setup as needed.

Once the weather cooperates (5" 8" snow and sub-zero temps today!) I'll mess around with other adjustments and will look into Rigid's amber lens covers. Hit me up if you want more info or other pics. Or, just call up Amory at Slee and get yourself a set.

This is without the fogs on:

This is with the fogs (note how much more light is thrown to the side, the camera doesn't even capture the edge of the light):

Very nice.

Why I love low-mounted lights:
I am a big fan of low, bright light because it creates depth perception of contour by leaving small shadowed backdrops of road variations in a way that high-mounted lights do not.

When I'm not wheelchair bound, I do a lot of mountain biking at night over very rocky terrain...and while most riders mount their only light to their helmet...I prefer my main light on my handle bars, and another on my head. For me, the bright, low-angled lights makes it MUCH easier to detect bumps and contour. With higher-than-your-eyes lighting you lose those shadowed object outlines and have only reflective qualities, color and focus to detect depth.

Try it with a super bright flashlight. Shine from your head...then move the light down to your chest or waist. Suddenly you'll see texture and depth and and even carpets show fine detail if you go low enough.

This is why I'll likely go with super-powered bumper-mounted lights rather than a roof-mounted bar.

Anyway... Great post, Kevin. Looks sweet! This actually has me considering the ARB bumper again vs. some others be it offers some interesting low-mount lighting options. Did you happen to notice Slee's front bumper in Ouray? He had mounted a single-row light bar above the winch space. To me, this is perfect for what I blathered on about up there. ;)
