Drove it 1,054 miles from Kansas City to Utah, nearly dying several times in Wyoming from an ice/snow storm.
Sorry we couldn't meet up, but understand all too well the treacherous I-80 corridor in the winter.
J
It was mayhem, tons of jackknifed trailers.
I'm going through WY again next month on my way to Colorado. I'll get in contact with you for parts pickup then. Thanks!

Seeing your truck I ordered the same mirrors for mine
What's the cost on that? How's that minder work? ^^
They are made in Australia and excellent quality. I like them because both sides have both a large regular mirror, and a good size convex mirror as well.
Electronic controls work on the large ref mirror, with the convent adjustable manually.
You give up two things:
-Auto fold-in
-Auto down-angle in reverse
But to me, I like the wider stance for backing (and of course is hauling a trailer) because I can manually angle it downward to get a much better view of obstacles behind me--especially right/rear.
I think if I had had these in Moab, I might not have dinged up my passenger-side wheels so badly when I had no spotter.
Everything is a trade-off. I like em a lot.
PS. TexAZ was kind enough to set up a double shipment...which was only a little more to ship two sets compared to just one set...so he shipped both to his address...then sent a set to me.![]()
I would not recommend the oiled air filters (K&N, TRD, etc). Based on the tests I've seen they are just absolutely horrible. As far as air flow they actually start off with just as much flow as the stock Toyota air filters and quickly become more restrictive to air flow vs. the stock. So absolutely no benefit as far as air flow. If you don't clean and re-oil them frequently you lose all benefit from using them. Second, they tend to allow a lot more micro particulate to pass through the air filter vs the stock so they are much more damaging to your engine. Finally, if you don't re-oil them correctly you can suck up oil from the filter which can foul your MAF sensors.
Zero actual performance benefit (especially over time where stock will significantly out perform) while allowing a lot more garbage to get in to your engine. I'll look for my sources and post here if I can find them.
Do you have a pic from the driver's seat, looking at the mirror? Do the mirror defrosters work?
The look is kinda growing on me. I just remember the price was a bit high.
