I tightened up the hand brake this weekend. Got the passenger side tire back on and found this broken spring on the ground... I had the drivers side off, and was able to take the second photo. Can anyone identify the broken spring? Is it the same spring highlighted in the second photo? I went through Toyota Parts Deal, but none of the springs appear to have the full loop. TIA!

Yes that's the same spring! Bummer it broke!

Tried replacing my crankshaft position sensor today. The sensor is stuck in place and the plastic is disintegrating as I try to remove it. Stopped for the day before I completely destroy the thing in place. Any tips for getting a stuck sensor out?

Soak with a good penetrating spray . Then screw into it and pry slow gently. MHO

Finally got around to spraying down the engine bay. Haven’t washed it since I bought it and it was way past due.

Just waiting on a few tid bits now. New positive battery terminal and battery bracket on the way from Partsouq, as well as some terminal covers.

Looks much better… and dirt on some of those connections can’t be good…

BTW, is your brake fluid brown? Or is it the camera angle?

Maybe the angle? The fluid was flushed less than 2 years ago.

Replaced the fuse box. Not fun for the wallet ($480 shipped from UAE) or my hands, but she's running like new again. Most Valuable tool in the box goes to... the free Home Depot paint can opener. It was perfect for prying out the connectors from underneath.

Where did you get that mounting plate above the battery? I like that you put the rocker switch right there by the air filter....didn't want to run the wiring inside the cabin?
Are you referring to where the Redarc charger is mounted? If so, it’s from Slee and bolts right up to the battery tray, also by Slee

I like to have the switch under the hood since I have to open hood to connect air hose anyway

Painted the cowling and wiper arms. Broke six clips. VHT epoxy spray can nozzle broke off indoors and I spent 3 hours cleaning that up. Definitely the worst 1 banana job I've ever had go sideways.
