Well, I got tech stream up and running. My front left was about .5” lower than front right. Got those fairly evened out. My pressures were atrocious. 8.9 in the front and 7.2 in the rear. After a lot (I got up to 10, but went back and forth on either side to even things out) of torsion adjustment, front is currently at 6.4 and rear only came down to 7.1... no bumpers or armor. Just sliders. What can I do about the rear? I’m assuming either spacers or new springs?

Just got her back from paint. Had the common rust problems around windshield and on the roof addressed to stop the cancer. Under the windshield was worse than I would of ever know if they didn’t take off the original windshield to repair the roof rust. Had the body shop take the stock roof rack off and toss it to prepare for my Dissent roof rack that I’m picking up this weekend. Also threw on a flow master as speedway muffler in Rowland Heights had a killer deal ($80 installed and out the door) I couldn’t say no to that even though I wanted a magnaflow.

Boy, she's looking pretty good with a new paint!
I'd like to suggest that you start a "Build" thread to document everything you'll be doing to it. Then it's cataloged all in one place especially if someone really likes the type of build you're doing and wants to follow your thread. Doing so will add a gray oval "Build" tag to your thread. Then just post anything/everything you do to the 'ol girl.
Curious, is there still the "Bruiser" letters on the left rear hatch?

Started working on restoring rear elocker diff and front diff with ARB air locker.

Bought an elocker rear axle and front diff with ARB air locker from a wrecked 1998 100 series for $1200 shipped last year. I was told they were 4.30. I originally was going to regear to 4.88 but decided against it due to cost.

I started working on the diffs this week and I found some good and bad.

The good:
nitro gears 4.88 were already installed. This was a huge surprise.
I disassembled the elocker and everything was clean and functions normally
ARB locker in front diff seems to work

The bad:
Looks like the pinion in the front diff got loose at some point and was making contact with the carrier. Looks like it was fixed because there is no excessive play and it doesn't make contact anymore.View attachment 2591124
The front diff cover didn't have the hole drilled for the airline bulkhead fitting so it looks like I have to extend the copper line in order to use it.

The rear diff also had a bent companion flange that I replaced.

Any advice or insight would be greatly appreciated

I am considering taking both 3rds to a reputable offroad toyota shop to have checked out. I have the oem repair manual and they both seem good but the marks on the carrier threw me for a loop.

They are both going into this 2001 100View attachment 2591145
Mine did the same thing up front. Arb refused to give me run out specs on their carriers that were more than twice Toyota's maximum spec.. all you can do it grind some of the pinion gear teeth off. Assuming you're set up correctly this is a common issue.

Cruiser looks good!

I installed a second “house” battery this week (and changed dif/transfer case fluids and greased drive shafts, but that’s no fun.)

I had a group27 deep cycle battery hooked up to a backup sump pump under the house. Is it reaaaly gonna rain anytime soon? So I pulled it out and hooked it to a 500 watt inverter and a solar charger. I added a 12 plug for the fridge as well. Morning smoothie, blended cocktails... electric blanket... this next trip will be cush!

Got hooked up with a sweet pair of 9" Hardkorr BZRX215's from GTFO in Long Beach. The wire harness was top notch (even though I had to butcher it since I run a SPOD). Will be putting these to the test over multiple nights in April bouncing around the 395....will review further then....
Where are you going bouncing on the 395? I live in Bishop

I haven’t had time for much of anything other than work lately but I did make and install a second drawer with HDPE slides. I like the no slides slides a lot better! Way lighter too. Covered in outdoor carpet and capped with some aluminum angle. Nothing fancy but it will hold me over until I actually make something better and lighter. The small drawer takes up the space not filled by my table behind it.

Also attached a longer hose for my pressurized water system so I can leave the container in the second row footwell and have water in the back where I cook. Routed the tube through aluminum square tubing attached to the bottom of my drawers. Not perfect but it works better. Need to find a better hose as this one gets stiff in the cold. Also left a service loop by the container so it can drop to the ground as I gravity fill it by hanging my filter from my load bars on the roof.

Started welding my Rouge Fab bender so I can finish up my bumper and build some sliders. Hit a snag I need to call Rouge about but excited regardless!

Took the old gal to the scales the other day while out on a trip and we are 115lbs over GVW! Crazy as we don’t carry much stuff and my rig certainly isn’t “built”. Be on the lookout for two Crashpad double swags for sale this spring as we are going lighter on the tent yet again! Likely going to a HMG Ultimid 4 with full insert. 3.2 lbs vs 82 for the swags. Granted it will be another 4 lbs with 4 sleeping pads but still shaving a lot of weight. I just don’t understand how GVW can be had by a family of 4 plus a dog!

Yeah gas in general has a relatively short shelf life. I've heard the 6mon rule too; a year and it's basically unusable. It really depends on what ethanol level you get (if any), what seasonal blend, temp & humidity where you store it, etc... You can dilute the old gas with fresh, although it will still have lower combustibility. You can also add a gas stabilizer like you would when winterizing a vehicle or boat and that will help delay its natural deterioration.

Back to the point - dumping the small amount of fuel you have in your gas can into a 1/2+ tank of good gas will not cause any issues. Rotating the gas in your can every 6mon is a good routine to get into.
I use royal purple max clean, in my tank every 10k, and it can be used to put in a can for stored fuel. Seems I remember reading it's good for maybe 1-2 years to stabilize fuel, and works much better than the red fuel stabil. it's good stuff, and can get at walmart for around $14 a can

Installed the Badland Apex winch on the @TRAIL TAILOR hidden winch mount.

How was the winch install? That will be next big project.

Also, today i had a little time to prep and prime one slider. Ran out of daylight and it’s looking rainy the next few days. I hate painting...
