Where is the blow out on the bag? I’ve had mine since 2016 and pull an off road trailer on trips. I haven’t been bashful on trails. I have gotten some good articulation while towing and never had a problem.
It happens in between where it sits against the coil springs. I believe the root cause was extreme ambient heat ~120F when it happened. I had put them at 30psi when it was at least 30F cooler outside. My fault for not checking them every time I stopped for fuel. I was towing cross country with a maxed out enclosed trailer.

Sounds absolutely amazing
So I know I’ve seen out there the 1FZ being built with turbos and all, does anyone do big power/performance with the 2uz V8?

Very rarely, the vast majority work on 1FZE's. It is by far the most selling LC100 model trim(the trim with the 1FZE) + So many more upgrade options with the 1FZE. Part availability here is insane for this engine.

Since my temporary aftermarket CV axle has developed a vibration, I've had to accelerate my reboot and re-install of the 1 year old oem CV with a torn boot. Now that I've done it once I'm not sure I want to ever do it again. It's not particularly difficult but it was messy and took me about 2 hours, 3 cans of brake cleaner and an entire roll of paper towels. I only needed to do the inboard boot but went ahead and did both. It was especially painful due to the heat and smoke in northern California requiring me to wear an N95 mask the whole time with the unhealthy air quality. I was hoping to put this job off until winter when it would be much more comfortable. I'll install in the vehicle early tomorrow morning.

Painted DS body cladding, original paint was severely faded and slightly damaged from a mild hit and run a couple months ago. Prep work and mask were pretty arduous but the finished product, though not perfect, is a massive improvement. I’ll need to muster the initiative to do the Passenger Side in the next couple of weeks, the current 186 degree temps in Denver are exhausting! I’ll post pics of the finished product tomorrow.

I used Krylon Semi-Gloss with an adhesion promoter, 80 grit where the damage was, 220 everywhere else, followed by 800 wet. Not a perfect match and almost impossible to get that surface 100% smooth after 15 years of duty, but not bad.

New exhaust in action and testing at the dunes,
This thing is so much fun, but unfortunately lacks power!,:deadhorse: I have to rely on hauling ass (momentum) to get up most dunes. So I decided to rebuild the engine and upgrade it, head port and polish, JE larger pistons bored, stage 2 Crower camshafts, MOTEC M150 ECU. Work will start after the weekend.

Engine work started !

Engine is in the CNC shop for boring and the head will get a port and polish as well.

Upgrades:

+100mm bore ROZE Pistons

Custom grind camshafts (I told them I want maxmimum power and torque earlier 3000-5000 RPM)

Upgraded valves , valve springs + retainers

MOTEC M150 With full wire loom

Totally fantastic ... but why?

I believe the label is Light Khaki

eBay is your friend for this part. I just got the glass with backing mount or my driver's mirror for $76.00. Should be the same for your repair just make sure you get one with the heating elements. Then it's as simple as (1) plug-in the new mirror heating wires (2) clip in the new mirror (3) pat yourself on the back. One

Thanks, still need to check Ebay. I have about 4 other ones in the mail simultaneously. I'll see what shows up and compare.

Finally figured out how to mount fuel pax universal mount to Yakima Load Warrior rack, using some bar stock and nylock nuts. Now have fuel and water in Waterport on roof.

I installed the Prinsu rack that had been sitting in my garage for a week. It took a while to do by myself but I'm impressed with the fit and finish, and above all, with the design. Super light and super stout! Didn't get to the lights and wiring, will tackle that next weekend. Getting closer to hunting season and looking forward to testing all the new mods out!
