Parked it to have some lessons driving the 70. Found some movie set vehicles in the parking lot.

I pumped 4 qts of ATF out with this pump: Wolfcraft 2202 Water Pump Attachment (sent from England, about $22 with half of that being for shipping - but it is made in Germany and seems to have fairly good reviews.) I attached it to my Makita 18V cordless drill.

I used a stiff thin (1/4" OD) nylon tube to go down the dipstick tube. It was slow (1 qt per 11 min) the first run of 4 qts. Drove it for a half hour, then did it all again. It went twice as fast with the now hot fluid. I plan on doing a third 4 qt exchange after a week of driving.

(About 4 years ago I had the pan dropped and filter replaced.)

Tearing down for timing belt job, found lot of dust inside covers. Any idea why? And what should I inspect?

I just attempted to seal my third brake light. Hopefully it holds, we’ll see.

Also replaced my door actuator motor, and while I had the door pulled apart I replaced the dry rotted sepaker.

I'd look if the small cover that goes in between upper and lower covers is missing

Reupholstered my drivers seat. This seat has seen a lot of ass in its hay day and it sure as hell showed it. $123 eBay purchase and a Sunday afternoon later, I now have a seat that doesn’t look like a pack of wolverines decided to make my driver seat their full time futon.

It was there, didn't find anything special though

Bushings were shot on the stock bars and with a 2.5" lift I extended the arms, pushed the axle back and dialed in the pinion angle. All good and tight now.

Got it dusty! Took a short drive up into the mountain roads nearby, exploring one that we hadn’t yet tried up to about 8800’ then hauled a bunch of rocks home for the Mrs. Roundtrip of 30 miles. But took 4 hours to explore, hike, and check out the abandoned mining buildings. Ordering new CVs very shortly, but waiting until the garage is built to start the project. Few other pics posted on the photo thread.
