Good lord, I'd never get that all back together! What's the reason behind the tear down?

Man I had a panic attack looking at that. Seriously. Heater core was clogged.

Wish I could say I went on some sweet camping trip far far away, but the mrs took her sequoia in for service and ended up taking 6hrs due to unfuck!ng damage from rats. Front yard will do just fine. I figure it's a good place to see how they do when it drops into the 30's.

Also learned that AHC in low keeps trailer pretty level while still hooked up!

Ok if you can get that back together without losing a screw and no rattles, you’re my hero! :)

I’m in the process(last few weeks and I will finish 2 next week I hope!)of changing all the bulbs, new gauge cluster rings, dynomat, and adding more carbon fiber (hydro) to my 300ZX AND I’ve lost a bolt or two that I’ve had to source again(even with so called organizing, because my kids played with them!!!!!!!! Yikes!!!). And my dash looks like preschool compared to what you’re up to!!!!!!!! Man I wish ya luck and what are ya doing?!

Keep posting!

Funny. Heater core. Is the stupidest thing ever.

Damn! That’s a heck of a job for the heater core! Completed it? How long did it take?

It took @USMC22 6.5 hours. He’s a maniac.

While he was doing that I got to teach myself how to change a 100 series power steering pump.

It’s a hell of a job. Most shops charge 8-10 hours labor to do it. The part was less than $30

Bravo!!!!!!! No issues? Should’ve change all the bulbs to LEDS (if you haven’t already) since all was torn apart. And cleaned every crease and seam on the dash. Kill several birds with one stone!

Let me get back to driving we’re at BOOMLAND & I had the lady driving for an hour.

Finally installed a set of retrofitted mini H1 HIDs that @Luke111 installed in a fresh set of OEM housings for me. Everything plugged right in and it was a smooth install once the HID wiring was in place. The difference in lighting is insane. I can only imagine what the larger DS2.0 projector puts out, but I'm more than satisfied with the H1s. I wish I had before shots, but you guys with stock LX headlights know the struggle.

The ballast, igniter and wiring fit snugly in the recesses on the back of the housings, even in the limited space next to the battery on the driver's side:

Replaced my heater Ts... Although it ended up being a huge PITA.

Ordered some brass Ts off Amazon and they were too small to use unless I had some special clamps which I could not find anywhere locally. I tried to use some generic worm gear hose clamps and they leaked, same with the stock clamps.

I ended up just getting some generic plastic Ts from Oreilly which I could reuse my stock clamps. Ever since I bought the truck It's been in the back of my head to replace them, glad I did since one crumbled as soon as I removed the clamp and the tension holding it together...

Heat is a must with these temps!

Noticed wet carpet just inside the rear right door . . . pulled the bottom of the around-door rubber seal and cleaned it and the door surface under it.

And then realized that cannot have been where the leak was coming from--had to be coming from behind the door liner/panel. So I took that off and, sure enough, the plastic liner had parted ways with the "tar snake" at two points, and had clearly been leaking for a while (tracks on the metal from dirty water making its way where it had no business being, along with signs of moisture in the door panel).

Rubbed the plastic liner into the tar snake and got it stuck very well. Buttoned everything back up. We have yet more rain coming, so I'll keep an eye on it, and on my other carpets--now I'm wondering why I didn't check this when I did my recent speaker swap.

Don't often get to do $0.00 repairs . . . kind of nice when it happens.

I’m soooooo green to the 100..! I had no idea they had a conversion kit for it! I know I shouldn’t but I am. How much is a kit like that and how much time was involved?

KitB is $1700 I think. With the lift we knocked it out in about 4 hours. . I could see it easily taking 6-8 on the ground though.

Did it a few weeks ago but did Cruiser Outfitters 2WD conversion. Some of the best money I’ve ever spent on a modification on any vehicle.

Why do you feel this way? Please tell us. Pro's, Con's, How long have you owned your 100 to compare and how do you use it? Mall Cruiser, Hardcore wheeler? Fuel Economy? I know there is a part time thread but curious on your thoughts. Thanks.

It was time to replace the CVs anyway. So a little more money and I could convert to part time 2wd was a no brainer. But I had been checking out the kit for a while. I do mild off-roading. I’m yet to find any downside...other than having to manually lock a hub now. Absolutely all slop, play or whatever weird clunks you feel in the driveline are gone. It’s just easier to drive around. Steering is smoother. Acceleration is better. I’m not saying it feels like it’s got 50 more horsepower or anything, but it’s a much more enjoyable drive. I’ve had a handful of GXs. Had this LX ad my dd for about a year. 2000 model that just turned 106,000.

Added some spots to the left and right side of the truck.
Mounted them on the underside of the cross beams because I like to use the top side for lumber etc.
Unfortunately because of this the adjustable mount did not work correctly..
They are mounted in a fixed position but I think they should work well for my needs

Finished my Lexus into LC interior swap. Headliner and carpet swap gave me an opportunity to get all of the previous owner's dog hair and sand out of the truck, as well as generally improving the cleanliness. Door cards, rear seats, and cargo carpet we a few weeks ago.

The old headliner cleaned up really well so if anybody needs it, I've listed it in the classifieds. I'm gonna hit the carpet when I have the energy and see how it cleans up, as I understand the fitted carpet kits may be NLA.
