The quality is great. Nice powder coat job, hardware, and fit.

My greyhound, Big Rig, couldn't care less, but it will keep her safe.

Got it stuck in an irrigated field like a moron. Phone didn't save the pic of it stuck, maybe to spare my ego. But here is the aftermath.

Which prompted me to get a snatch strap, and some Maxsa escape buddies (knockoff maxtrax). I got some spacers in from slee, since the PO had non-hubcentric spacers which are causing a shimmy that I haven't been able to get completely dialed out, and it's annoying enough. Those should be going on this week, all in prep for a camping trip next weekend.

Horn upgrade! I had a pair of Fiamm 35717 horns from years ago so I decided to mount them. They're quite a bit bigger than stock so I was looking around for a bracket to lower them into the grille and Shazam! Turns out the mounting brackets from the stock rear mud flaps (that I removed in favor of Phil's Mud Flap Eliminators) work perfectly!

Oh, and they're loud as hell! Look out, here I come!

I did this 4 weeks ago in my 80 series! See attached picture. I have since purchased a 1998 LC which I will not be taking into the irrigated field any time soon!

Well that is what Greyhounds do..... don't care, back to sleep. :D Big fan here. The better half and I have 2 rescues from the Birmingham track. Such great companions, if they feel like it, when awake between sleeping and napping, which is rare.

I was staring at my grab handles this weekend and had a bright idea to spiff them up with a simple paracord handle wrap. Adds some thickness and gives them a firm, grippy texture. Also helps to hide dirty hand marks on the beige. Hard to tell in the pics, but it is wrapped extremely tight. Trick I picked up in the Boy Scouts.

Our greyhound is an ex racer too. She lives the easy life now. If it was up to her, she'd only be awake a 20 minutes a day.

Did my timing belt, water pump, seals, bearings, etc. this past week. Finally put it all together so I began filling the radiator. During the fill, radiator fluid comes pouring out of the water pump area. Apparently, I didn't seat it all the way. Rookie mistake...pretty disappointed that I botched that portion. On the bright side, this next go around should go much smoother/faster.

Now I'm on travel for the next week...pretty sure I'll be thinking about how I'd rather be at home tearing it apart.

Great experience and kudos to you for doing it yourself!!

Picked her up in my paint shop. I am very happy how she turned out. I run that shop for a few years now, but never repainted one of my own cars. The Magnetic Grey Metallic turned out awesome and the guys did a perfect job. You can not see that the car has been green before.

We removed during the process the side trim and welded the clip holes. I like it much better now.

Also we removed the pockets from the inner wheelwell, that way mud should drop down instead getting collected and causing rust issues. If anyone is intrested I can take a picture for that.

Wheels have been powdercoated in flat black, same goes for the grille.

Next we will fit the Safari Snorkel.

Looks incredible. Please post pictures of inner wheel wells that you described.

Beautiful! Been wanting to remove those strips also.

Realized that a "helpful" family member loaded our large cooler into the back of my truck yesterday without putting the plug back in. Prompted a full interior detail and shampoo to prevent any cooler nasty-ness from stinking up my interior. The entire cargo area was soaked through and most of the pad. Fun job in the humid stagnant weather we had yesterday with no wind.
