Fitted a Warn 8000 lb winch in place of the Warn 9000 lb that stopped working, kept the same controls because they work and all the fittings etc are in the right place. U can see I cut the stock bumper to fit the winch when I had to drop it down to fit a bigger intercooler... Martiens Booysen has had a pretty good bumper made in SA that I will hopefully one day afford once I rip off mine on a trail

Also easy to see the bigger intercooler from this shot! I used the tabor quick release vs the Warn quick release as it fits under the intercooler. Fixed the broken clip on my grill, cleaned the fog lights, even the led bulbs had dirt in them

All good, so in the last 2 weeks I have done a full service, (420k km) all oils, filters, rebuilt the diff, replaced the winch, cleaned the drainage pipes so all the rain can drain out instead of into my car! Now it's time to sort swambo's front suspension...

Extended the transmission, transfer case, and front and rear differential breathers:

It will go from weekend ride to DD for the time being. Washed it, vacuumed it, reduced tire pressure, nothing much. Will be headed to Death Valley soon

Giving the 6 dollar disconnects a go. Desert roads are unforgiving and every little bit helps
Where'd you get those? Do they fit tightly enough to keep the links from 'chattering' when on the road?

Got them at Ace Hardware. Other than driving around the neighborhood I haven't got a good test yet. But the fit feels pretty tight. Not much difference than the bolt it replaced. But there is definitely no return to putting a bolt back in. I'll have to get back to you after a bit on noise and such

Extended by rear/front diff breather lines. Used the OEM filter and mounting bracket to attach the hose under the hood.

moved factory turn signals to side marker lights and rewired with 3 conductor harness from a 88-98 chevy gmc tail light plug to run dual filament bulb. also ordered a Stauber key shell and installed factory key into it since old housing broke.. 1999 LX470
