Running 33's, the speedo is off 14% according to the calculator i used. (assuming the stock tire size was 235/75/R15) besides taking a math class to compute the speedo reading to actual in my head, what else have people done?

ohh 1morething,

stock diffs,,,,,,would 4.11's put me back to normal?

Nothing, but I have a simple idea that someone with a bit of graphics skills could whip out:

A little black insert sticker with the correct speed markings in white, that you apply right to the face of the speedo glass covering the old markings. A guy could make them for 31's, 33's and 35's and make a bunch of us happy customers.

True, but then the odometer would be off.

There are companies that make gears for our trucks to put in place of the original gears in the spedo so that everything is correct with bigger tires. I forget who, but they are located somewhere in a thread, I know it.

Yellow box

What about the yellow box that is advertised on the home page of this web site? Are they worthwhile? The literature says they can be adjusted in small increments up or down to a total of 28%.

Running 31x10.5’s on stock chrome rims -
I had my speedo checked at a local shop when I first got it in 2001.
Here is my speed shown vs true vehicle speed –
20 = 20mph
30 = 30mph
40 = 42mph
50 = 50mph
55 = 57mph
60 = 63mph
65 = 69mph
70 = 74mph
75 = 79mph
. I add 9% (as an average) to the miles showing on the trip meter when I check my mpg.

This info is always constantly checked against my Garmin GP12 GPS unit on every trip and holds true.
