Went up to the hummer shop to start rebuilding some tracks today.

I've never seen anything like this. I was all fired up to ask questions about those tracks, like what are they going on? But now I can't stop staring at this beauty

Hummers. Suburbans. Quigley vans. And lots of side by sides. For what’s on tracks. I only work on the full size ones. 6 of them I believe.

Nice to use tools older than I on occasion when needed. And main shop got a fridge upgrade which is very important.

Knuckle rebuild and electric to manual hub swap last week. Unfortunately I ended up short some brake line parts and couldn't finish the project, had to stick the Prado on the trailer to get it out of the shop for the next week while I wait on parts to arrive.
Installing coilovers this week. It’s a big project but easier than the links were.
Another bunch of wrenching last weekend. Pulled the engine to check runout in the adapter plate.
While it was out I resealed the injection pump, replaced a couple of coolant flange o-rings and replaced the alternator.
Adapter plate was out by 0.019", going to get some offset dowel pins to dial it in. Target is >0.005".

NBD, just pulled the engine!
Only took 4 hours to pull the engine, quicker than I expected.
Not in MT anymore but figured Id share the new wrap. Been looking to do this since I got it a couple years ago.

Over the past month, the Tundra has been in the garage getting some much-needed love before winter hits. It got a full front end and while I was in there I noticed a blown shock on the driver's side so it also got new springs and struts. As I was finishing up I greased the u- joints and realized my carrier bearing was on its way out. So I then pulled the driveline and replaced all 3 u joints and the carrier bearing. I also removed the brush guard that I have never enjoyed. I got my studs on and finally got the sled deck loaded in
And it started as only a rear winch install
