Weird that it is reading faster. Should be reading slower due to the tires if anything, right?

I use the Speedometer Pro 55 app because my speedo is exponentially off as I speed up. The paid version is pretty awesome with some great features.

The return spring is weak, with everything lubed up the system applies more force. Old Toyota gauges are rudimentary indicators at best IMHO. Grease pencil some tick marks on the glass for things like 20, 30, 40, 50 and 60, even 70 if you are brave enough for that.

I agree. It used to be 5mph slow, now it’s at least 10 fast.

I have a potato for a phone and cannot download anymore apps.

I had a basic speedometer app for ever which was great when I needed it.
I now accept the fact that if I get pulled over for speeding in the 40 that I deserve the ticket

Spent about an hour riding around this afternoon, little one wasn’t in the best mood when she got up from her nap. Daddy cruiser ride was the only thing that sparked enough interest in her to get her to calm down.

So her and I rode around and went urban wheeling. Aka drove around town. The colors are in peak on the trees and the weather was prime. I’m thankful we got to spend the time just riding around. I don’t think we ever got in 4th gear.

This was 40 years ago for me…my wife went to a supermarket and I watched my son. He was about 9 months old and cried and cried and cried… I put the car seat in the 40 and drove him around town. He was asleep within 10 minutes. Made the rest of the night real easy

Dad win

I’ve spent a many nights driving around getting my son to go to sleep when he was little. 2am trips, sometimes he wouldn’t make it out of the driveway. Some days it was 30 minutes of driving.

In fact I had almost forgotten about that, thank you for the Memory flashback.

Not much to report. School trips, tank of fuel, worked on and fixed then broke my speedometer so there’s that.

Driving it every day again, except tomorrow because we haven’t had rain for a month and it’s supposed to catch up in the morning.

Rescued Iron Man from tumbling (my son left him there for a day)

Made costumes for myself and the lady this evening.
Nothing like a few fingers of bourbon and some crafts.

Carry on 🥃

If you haven’t fixed it yet: I typically find the bouncing speedo needle indicates the cable needs lubed.

I had a few extra minutes today and wanted to do a test fit that I’ve had in my head for a while.

I don’t hate the black, however I think the factory gray on the wheels would tie in better and look more OE.

This is a 1/2 tread 35-12.50-17 on a 17x8.5 “0” offset Fifteen52 wheel.

I might have to sell my 33s and factory wheels 😬

Original steering? Double check they don’t hit drag link, etc (hard turns on trail). That is a common issue w/bigger than 33 without more TLC to steering components

At some point with larger tires the leaf springs can come into play. Be sure to adjust the wheel stops if need be.
