Hey everyone,
I had to change the headlights on my 87 fj60 yesterday. The pass side went ok as the three screws that hold the chrome hold down ring on came off without any issue ( they were sprayed with freeze-off rsut pen). Well on the drivers side, only two of the three screws came off. I was able to change the bulb, but I do want that rusty screw out? How can I get it out without fawking up the threads in the light housing? Any ideas?

Thanks,
Zack

it you can get a decent access to the screw, take a small chisel on it side and put a cut into the side of the screw. Then angle the chisel off and tap with a hammer lightly into the gouge. In the left direction. Even the tightest rustiest screws will come out with this method.

Next choice it buying a screw extractor and drilling slightly into the head, then using the extractor.

Needle nose Vice Grips. No problem.
