What did you do with your truck this week?

Great outlook on the whole thing!

Now @BMThiker I remember saying "remember, you gotta drive it home!" Ha! You do wheel it hard son! I love it!

@BMThiker I think @Sam Stewart has been around you too much, have you seen the 4Runner lately... He skipped the pin striping and went straight for the raisin :steer:

Hey mines not that bad! Just a couple of broken tail lights (which I still need to fix) and a *minor* quarter panel dent. And I only got the dent from going on that black diamond trail at Windrock last time. And it has LOTS of pinstripes. I was pinstriping it when I took it around trail 2 at GMP when it was still bone stock. But I mean, this is what it's all about. If you can't have fun, what's the point?

Almost exact words from my wife last time... "Remember you have to drive it home" I'm like, hey man, I'm slightly offended by that. :grinpimp:

That sounds like a great opportunity to get her "buy in" on a new trailer and tow rig. That way she knows you will get home, whether you can drive it or not! :D

Sam just got out of that game. He just got rid of crewcab Tundra, trailer and minitruck crawler and now wheels his DD (like me).

Yeah I very recently sold my crawler to a mudder in NC and my Tundra to a mudder in TX.

Don't forget his 80!

The 80 was short lived. Sold it to a mudder too! :grinpimp:

Converted my front axle tool to a rear axle tool and repacked wheel bearings on 80

Changed engine oil and filter, both diffs, transfer case, rotated tires, greased birfs, ujoints, and driveshafts.

Ready for winter hunting trips now.

Snuck in an oil change and valve cover polish with new gaskets on the 45 before dark.

Replaced the differential on the 100 after it blew out at Uwharrie last weekend… Technically, LexTech did it…

Fixed the Aussie Locker on the 80… Technically, Holt Transmission did it… The wife flipped her lid when I had 3 broken Land Cruisers and had to call a friend to pick me up for work.

I am currently working on replacing all of the cooling hoses, thermostat, water pump, and radiator on the 40. Only 1 hose came off without a fight, the others are glued on pretty well. The job looked a lot easier than it's turning out to be.

Can I borrow that when I do the rear on the Avocado?!

Sure...but you telling me you don't have a 54 mm socket in your bag of tools anymore. IFS syndrome ? :p

I do, but you have it all notched and stuff. I guess I can make one too :P

Drove the 40 400 miles round trip down to ATL and partied like a rock star this weekend. The old gay bitch is pretty comfortable to drive with earplugs in and the radio all the way up.

Thanks to Marshall and Greg at THC, took the wife's 4 runner in on Monday and had the valve cover gaskets and spark plug seals replaced and the breaks done all they way around. Drives like a new car and has a lot less rattles. Has 228000 on the odo and the top end looks great so hopefully I'll get another 228000 out of her.

I took the 40 to a friends place to shoot doves saturday morning. I don't drive it deer hunting because the exhaust smell is awful. Doves..?? who cares! On the way home, I jumped on the interstate. It's the first time I have driven more than a few miles, between exits, on the interstate. I encountered a bad vibration at about 53MPH. I had felt this before but was a little hesitant to drive through it. Last Saturday, I figured, what the heck ( I didn't have anywhere to be until Monday morning), so I drove through it. It lasted until around 60 MPH, then went away (for the most part). I got up to 75+ and it felt fine, although still a little scary since I had not driven that fast before since acquiring it. My guess is wheels out of balance, so I will start there. I will probably get someone (Carolina Driveline)to look at the driveshaft to make sure it is balanced, too. Replace U-joints while in there. Slowly but surely, working kinks out until I locate the next one. ....... They never end, do they? :D

I'm sorry, maybe I'm not reading this correctly… Did you say that you had your 40 over 75 mph????
