What did you do with your truck this week? (1 Viewer)

Pulled the fuel pump just to be sure the spring in the oil pan was from the original and it was all good. Re-installed with a little Toyota FIPG (love that stuff!)

Ran it for a while and the pan is dry as a bone! Ill re-torque the bolts in 100 miles or so just for good measure.

Started changing all the fluids while I was at it.

Got the front diff changed, no problems.

Pulled the fill plug on the h41 and fluid gushed out and the t-case was low - looks like the common t-case to tranny gasket problem.

No need to pull either at the moment, so will rig up the overflow hose setup and run that until the t-case needs rebuilt or I magically find an H55 :hhmm:

Also completed welding the Fourrunner bumper and shot a coat of epoxy primer on it for a temporary coating until I can complete the tire swingout.

Steve, whats this fj going to tip the scales at now?

You mean the batmobile? I'm waiting on 3 wheel motion to go on fo so mo buttons and switches...:grinpimp:

I think I got the tow dolly redone and road worthy. Installed the ramps today and rewired new lights. I think I'll hook it up to the van and pull it around town next week before I pull it up to Sumter loaded.

Installed the front lift in the 4runner this afternoon. Started ~ 4pm and was putting tools up a little after 7. I will update my build thread tomorrow or Monday with a few pics. Rough measurements stock front driver ~21 3/8" lifted 22 3/4 Passenger is closer to 23" I forgot to measure passenger side stock. These are from center of rim to fender well lip (bottom of flare). Seems respectable to me as everyone says '99s are already +1" from all the other years.

Finally installed the rotor and dizzy cap on the 80 and trimmed the stereo pocket on the 80 so the new double din will fit, also Armoralled the 80. Still need to figure how to ground the parking brake wire so it will play DVDs going down the road. Connecting the signal wire to the stereo ground did not do it.

Attempted to install my lights I bought form southeast overland and instead found my battery to be dead! Hopefully an overnight charge at autozone will do the trick.

rust eze

Got some of the rust "fixed". Painted over the patches with bedliner.

Careful with that scott bedliner can creap all over the truck;)(LOL) that bedliner coverage looks good.

Finished changing the gear oil in the differentials, transfer case and tranny.

Rigged up the fluid-transfer hose between the fill ports for the t-case and tranny.

No leaks! - its a minor miracle.

Shot some rust converting primer on the frame around the area then cleaned up, repainted and re-installed the flywheel cover and the skid plate - first time those have been on in about 5 years.

Going to tackle a total coolant flush next and then pull the evaporation canister to inspect and clean it.
