I added a similar hitch to mine, but opted for the 2" receiver mounted one, since FJC's don't use the same NATO bolt pattern on the rear bumpers - what were they thinking?

I also added a 1" spacer to my rear (saggy) springs to get me to a better bumper height for towing the m416. The new rear shocks that I installed in December have plenty of travel for the spacer. Before the spacer, my azz was dragging, now it's a tiny bit higher in back as opposed to level front to back, but it should level out when loaded for a trip.

You might be a Redneck if....

Your backyard looks like this.........

don't you know my neighbors love me :hillbilly:

After the bad wind storms we had a couple weeks back the 80 year old shed in my back yard that I had been using as my cruiser workshop developed a noticeable lean. Thus I decided it was time to upgrade to a newer garage/shed that would be a little more friendly to my cruiser habit

JP how many dogs live underneath your porch?

finally got a radio put in the 40.

Took one of the "delux" radio/tape decks out of one of my dad's fieros...really wish the speakers in this fiero were not shot. The tape deck is pretty nice, built in amp...6 speaker output...was the cream of the crop back in 1986.

Would have went with a CD player but i'm sure CD's would skip like a star with the 40's infamous suspension along with theft factor...who wants to steal a tape deck?

got 4 JVC speakers mounted up.

Jammed to some WNCW on the way to my hockey game last night!

Today i'm bringing home my tape deck/mp3 player adapter so i can listen to pandora in the rig!

Wow JP ME must be so proud of you...good thing you've already done the deed cause with 2 cruiser restos and now a barn build she'll never see you again!

Dang son... You are gonna turn into the local cruiser hoarder, kind of like that guy in Athens, Cruiser Ray... He always had 5-6 cruisers with a ton of parts laying around. At least we'll know where to go if we are looking for something

WHOA WHOA WHOA NEWS ALERT.... I was contacted by a local (10 miles from my house) that has almost (in pieces with parts missing) 3 40's and a running 78 55, he wants me to buy.... I might..:hillbilly:..... anyone need a frame, tub, windshield, fender, etc...?

the 55 is drive away good....:grinpimp: this will be number 3 pig.. they are multiplying...

i'm sure that F block is structurally integral to the whole building...

This weekend

Nothing to my truck but helped David pull his transmission and break it down, break down his replacement transmission and find out that his tranny in his jeep was in better shape than the replacement. Removed and replaced one bearing and race in his old tranny and put it back in the jeep. The replacement tranny ended up as scrape for the metal bin. All accomplished without breaking any tanmissions with power impact tools. No loss of fingers, toes eyes , no broken bones sort of dull actually.
