Should come in handy over future weekends. Probably one of the best things I've purchased for the truck.

It's welded to the square brackets that slip over the front of the frame rails. It's as sturdy as any other bumper. The only way it could be more sturdy is if it was bigger, thicker, and welded to the frame itself.
Did you add anything structutal behind the stock bumper to support the additional tubing, or is it more just for aesthetics?

Do you have a pic of it from further away?

I replaced my thermostat and a new Amazon aisin water pump. Somewhere within the 190k miles someone put in a aftermarket tstat and that water pump was rough to turn. I think I found why my ride was warming up too much. Also added some water wetter.

Bit late, but changed handbrake shoes and fitted aftermarket dogbone, handbrake now holds with 3 clicks. Found prop valve leaking, went to replace and bracket almost disintegrated, managed to obtain serviceable replacement bracket, valve and rod for $10 at the local wrecker :D Changed front unis, got to do rears and rear output seal on transfer this weekend

Why is everyone putting pos GM motor in the toyota land cruiser? Are mutts the fad?

I did it in a 40 eleven years ago. (Thus my name on MUD) I put a LS1 and 4L60E out of a '01 Camaro SS in my 76 40. Afaik I was the first to ever do it. TLC in Van Nuys hadn't done it and said it couldn't be done. I had more money than sense. When I got done it felt like an American made vehicle. Sold it after about 300 miles. Stupidest thing I ever did. But if consider myself more of a purest.

And for public shame I pulled a 56k 2F out of an all original, one owner, rust free, Freeborn Red 40 from Chandler, AZ. It had never been out of AZ. I still hate myself for it.

Finally installed my Blue Sea SI-ACR and connected my batteries. It was rather simple thanks to the help of guys on Mud. Still needs some finishing touches but it'll work for the weekend.

GM is rubbing off on toyota!! cars are getting crappier and uglier!

should have done that while you were here!! Joey would have built you a dual battery set up short of a nuclear power plant!

your heat shrink tubes are different lengths...joey would not approve!! :deadhorse:

This was just to get me through the weekend. It will get cleaned up next week. I have to put new terminal rings on all of my cables so I'll clean up my heat shrink lengths then.

Joey put together my light wiring for my roof rack. It's freaking ridiculous and overkill. Which is awesome!

I pull an M1101 trailer that is pretty light at 2,000 pounds loaded out. With the stock motor going up the hills in AZ I am wide open throttle in second gear and can only get 40 mph. Every time I merge onto a highway I am pissing people off. Even when the truck is empty it's a struggle and you are constantly having to stay ahead of the truck and plan how to get up to speed and not anger everyone. If I lived in a state that was flat and closer to sea level I might not need more power and torque but for my needs 212 HP and 235 ft lb of torque needs to be swapped out for 430 HP and 424 ft lb. Oh and the LS motor is 100 pounds lighter and much smaller than the inline 6. Another bonus is my gas mileage will go up dramatically with the 6L80E trans and I will have much better gear ratios for overdrive and crawling.
