I disassembled the CV joints, no cracks, but did find some wear, both sides about the same, I am going to have a go at replacing them with the greasable ones to suit the '90 to '94, 8mm shorter but from what I can see that's only an issue if there constant 4x4, mine is part timed and the AISIN hubs seem to have full contact with the spline View attachment 1644111 View attachment 1644112 View attachment 1644113

If you switch to Aisin hubs dont forget the new groove on the axle stub before assembly.

I took my Cruiser on its first road trip two weeks ago to attend a winter survival course at Karamat Wilderness Ways up near Wildwood, Alberta. It was great to spend some time with it in poor winter road conditions to get to know and trust it. Before leaving I managed to knock off a few neglected PM issues, and managed to successfully replace my 02 sensors and clear the 02 code! Yay! Unfortunately I wasn't able to address the code for both my knock sensors, so I imagine I was missing some power on the climbs. I absolutely fell in love with my rig and I am excited to base line all the many little issues it has.

Lots of us JDM guys up here running a 35 on the factory carrier. Haven't heard anyone with an issue yet.

Thanks very much for the feedback I like it because it fits so tight to the truck lot more clearance than the normal swing aways on the big bumpers

How are you going about getting wood yrum pieces off?
I just finished removing all of it yesterday. I just got a hair dryer and held it in a spot for 10-20 seconds and then got a plastic scraper and pryed the wood trim up. Then take the hair dryer and heat up the adhesive residue that is underneath the wood trim and peel it off with your fingers. It’s pretty easy. I’ll update this tomorrow with a pic of it all removed.

I'm thinking something like my buddy has.

It's his one-man system for loading a boat on the roof, but it'd work for a spare tire.
