Just verify how many amps it pulls at start up. My compressor pulls around 30 amps continuously running but at startup is over 60.
yeah, the third member. Resonant whine and vibration at speeds over 30mph that increase in pitch and intensity with speed, and go away on throttle-lift. Got slightly quieter when I replaced diff fluid. If you think it's something else (read: something cheaper) I'd LOVE to hear it.

Replaced the charcoal canister, but, but, but... I retained the bottom bracket while using the AC Delco canister.
I have to thank @GW Nugget and Texas Knowhow for their inspirational videos which made me think there is a way to retain the bottom bracket with the larger size canister and not bother the wire loom under the fuse box.

Put a little soap on good old Olaf.. and the paint looks exactly like it did prior, no shinier nor cleaner. Very dull white paint LOL.

Mine does the same thing and I just finished pulling it apart and chasing it. The pinion bearings were fine but the pattern on the ring and pinion was terrible. I ended up taking the third to a talented friend with that sort of thing and he got the pattern better but said the gears were worn in that pattern too far to get it to go away without replacing the ring and pinion. I reinstalled it with and added a quart of Lucas and it is quieter but definitely still there.
Loaded up the Cruiser with sis, brother in law and the dachshunds and had a beautiful wintry drive from Reno to the Brewing Lair in Blairsden, CA...which is up a muddy, icy dirt road - so actually got to use 4LO in earnest! Good beer, a nice pie from the local Italian joint and lots of pups running about the place. I parked next to an FJ Cruiser, and apparently it got stuck on the way up the same road, so LC ftw!
I fixed my starter . I got on Ih8mud and typed out my problem I was having which was my starter keep turning even after I turned to truck off . It only stopped when I took the key out . Right away someone told me I needed a new plunger and contacts for the starter and someone posted a page on here to go to that showed how to change them . This was my first time taking this starter off . It really wasn't bad at all . I crawled under the truck no jacks just as is no lift kits ,stock suspension , It was enough room to get the job done . I started with the hardest top bolt first because If I couldn't get that one free I was going to take it to the mechanic . I used 2 2.5 inch extension . It put the ratchet at just the right distance to be short of the 2 small hoses connection . The ratchet handle fit between objects on both sides but was enough room to get 2 good clicks of the ratchet and thats all I needed . I put my little extension bar pipe over the ratchet and I could not believe it after what I have been reading on here about how hard that bolt is to get loose , I got it loose the first try . I was stoked because I don't have the extra money to pay a mechanic .for the lower bolt thats on the opposite side of the starter , I used a single 2.5 extension and that put it in just the right place to keep it straight . It came off easy with the small pipe bar over the ratchet handle . I think I got lucky they both broke free . Once I knew I was going to be able to get it off I disconnected the negative from the battery . I was able to reach up from the bottom and put the ratchet on the 12 volt positive wire nut on the starter and get it off . I cut my zip ties that was holding the small wire in place on the broke started connection and finished taking the 2 big bolts out . I fed it through the rubber flap opening ,it came right out . At this point I walked into the house to show my wife the starter like it was a big piece of tenderloin just taken off a hogs back . I ordered the parts they told me to get and I installed them in the starter ,I even replaced my small wire connection that goes to the starter . The connection piece on the start was broke and the wire keep coming loose . I took some photos and included some part numbers and a web address where I got the parts from . I fixed the start for a total price of 22.78 , 12.03 was for parts and shipping was 10.75 . This forum just saved me a lot of money and I want to thank everyone that helped me .

Installed a snorkel. What a difference getting air to the engine makes. Part throttle is a big difference, wide open throttle little change. Also almost finish installing the northwest trails weld it yourself rear bumper with tire swing.

Drove out to TDS in Ocotillo wells, CA with a buddy of mine and his Family. Had a good time. Got to put some more dirt under the landcruiser. Saw a few landcruisers, 40s 60s 80s a couple of 100s and a 200. Lots of fun, and I got to play support crew for my friends Ford. His alternator wasnt charging properly, so I had to give him some Toyota Juice! Their Broncos were on 42 and 47s so my 80 was tiny next to them lol.
