Hi lift jack came in handy!

Also replaced the hood release cable.

Replaced old cracked dash to the blue Fj62 with a brand new one. On a locals cruiser.

Some people got really good deals on cars that went through there though.

- '14 Mercedes GL450 went for $24k no reserve
- '92 Caddy, not sure which model, but it was nice, went for $5k no reserve
- And someone absolutely stole this Mercury Marauder for $3,500

There were also the typical ridiculous auction cars with extremely low miles like this Auburn Speedster

Also... a dually Suburban . Apparently everyone else thought it was stupid too b/c it didn't hit it's reserve

Worked on exhaust repair, and rebuilt my rear driveshaft per FSM with new u-joint bearings. Hopefully will be back on the road by Wed, quiet with no exhaust leak, and no vibrations except the good kind.

After I do my front & rear axles, I'll have been thru the truck from air cleaner to tailpipe. I'm looking forward to transitioning from working on it, to just driving it and going cool places in it.

Got my old carb out and new one in and what a difference so far so good! I'm sure in the next week or so something will happen due to me putting something in the wrong place!

While I had it off I finished putting most of my new vacuum lines well all but 5.... Save it for next time

Found this bad boy sandwiched between the upper and lower sections of the carb when I was rebuilding it.

All installed and running like a champ!

Almost shot coffee thru my nose on that one, J - much needed humor, thx man!

I need to know where that auction house is... Once I get Tank (1968- 40) done with his resto mod... it'll be up for sale.. Maybe I need to put aluminum diamond plate on all my rigs.. Must have been that "CUSTOM" bling factor that drove the price up...:confused:

Lot of later parts there..

Ha, Ha! Awesome...love that song...

EDIT: @reevesci ...Oh, in that case you might like the documentary on the Muscle Shoals recording studio in N. Alabama...where Skynyrd did their first recordings...Netflix has it...

Milestone weekend for the 60 and I, both born in July.
One of us is 30, the other half again more.
No better way to celebrate than ignore each others' ailments for a day and play in the dirt.
Creaking and groaning together under the scorching summer sun.
Happy Birthday friend.

Installed front and rear seat covers from SOR. Perfect fit!

Finished rebuilding my knuckles on Friday night, then drove to Truckee and South Lake Tahoe for a shake down run.

When I got back to San Jose discovered the clutch pedal had no resistance anymore, so it looks like a new Clutch Master, Release cylinder, and replacement clutch dust boot (see below) are my next project.

Why did the clutch dust boot get all melty?

Bay rental, in NOLA? Can you PM me the details plz?

Shot you a PM about it, @sschruff. I'm probably going to head back there the weekend after next. I think it would be great if this guy's shop became a NOLA Land Cruiser work space.
