Looks like some sort of guide setup.
It's the rod vault from Denver outfitters it's 150$ off right now. 388$ delivered. My wife and I flyfish it's nice so we don't have to break rods down between spots and it locks. It comes on a single or 3. I'll take few pics tomorrow

I felt like welding and using the plasma cutter so I built a jerry can holder. Plus these retro cans were just collecting dust.

My rear and passenger front door handles have been sticking in the open position for awhile. Today I removed the rear poor panels and using wd40 and then fluid film to clean/lub them. They work like they're brand new. I'll tackle the passenger side front one day next week.

That looks good. How did you bend the square tubing?
Changed my thermostat. Well actually I snapped all the bolts holding the housing together (rusted). Removed everything. Torched it hot to get the bolts, got new bolts.
Oh and then after all the clean up and anti seize I installed my new thermostat.
I'm pretty sure rockymtnreaper had a more enjoyable day playing in the snow. Ha.

Swapped out my torn driver side seat bottom for a nicer one I found in the classifieds.

Installed my winch. Had to order a different fairlead, it'll be here next week.
I used a tube bender at the local high schools metal shop. I need to get one for myself but the metal dyes are $$

Looked at her and cried a little bit inside. Went out yesterday and started marking vacuum lines and what not to be disassembled so I can begin the process of pulling the carb for a rebuild and the head removal for HG replacement.
my first hj61, (88VX import) owning for 7-8 months now, plan has been to set up as toy & use as a tourer with camper in tow for family holidaysetc, things done to date , First job, auto out manual in conversion, rebuilt 24v alternator, shag carpet out, ol cruiser factory vinyl in front, back & front crank seals done, new thermostat, adjusted valves, few gaskets replaced, UHF, turbo timer, new record player & beats, pto broken down / rebuilt new seals and bearings, swivel hubs and wheel bearings done, new tie rods etc, safari snorkel, air compressor, hayman Reece tow pack, cargo barrier, + 2 x 12v plugs, (merit & Acc) 2 x 24v plugs(engel & merit) AC gassed up, ( real cold), EFS 2inch leafs, coolant flushed and replaced, & all oils same, and probably a few other things that don't come to mind, We have first long distance trip planned for the holidays, hopefully my work will get us home, and today just completed engine service before the big haul,
