Trying to stay oem as much as possible Red, I don't know why. Alot of thing is aftermarket as can be anyway. I got a set I'll be selling cheap, I'll reseal them myself. They won't be sitting around taking up space or weighing me down. Plus I have the 470 calipers I'll be selling nothing wrong with those, clean them up, paint them and post them. I'll turn the rotors and sell those too.

I can get piston seals everywhere, but finding the casting seal, that's a whole nother ball game. Simple internet searches yield nada, I haven't called lexus parts yet, I'll do that today. Anyone have any thoughts? Part numbers?
I can find casting seals but I need to split the halves and get some measurements to get the right one.
Word to the wise boys, you want colored, paint them yourself. Lesson learned.
yeah, i'd split them and pull some measurements off of it and the recess it resides in. Check to make sure they haven't warped either. Are the calipers made by Sumitomo? knowing the manufacturer/OEM might help the search.

I have no idea who made them, toyota oem from bell lexus. I'll call bell and ask them.

I let boredom take hold and cut up my fog lights.

My driver's side fog light was real hazy before I started so I did the best I could clearing it up. It's not as bad now but it isn't as clear as everything else. I suspect it's the only original housing on the ol' girl. I'll readdress it later but for now it'll do.

spent the better part of the day at the range with friends. Got a pretty cool shot parked up against a berm with my friends' Gen 1 Raptor and Gen 4 Bronco in the background.

Then on the way home, I got the dreaded P0418.

Bedded the pads and rotors. Damn those Powerbrake D Lines and X Lines are wicked gorgeous but F, expeeeeeeensive. My thought process is the 460 upgrade begins to address the brake issue on our 470s, the D Lines will make a bigger dent into the problem and the X Lines completely addresses the issue. From what I can gather, all the extra weight added by mods, i.e., bumpers, winch, bigger tires, skids, the list goes on. What are you guys thoughts on it all?

Edit:

Interesting test:

Split the 460 calipers I had powder coated, sure enough the casting seals were baked into powder.

Those are definitely some spendy brakes....wow!
I'd expect a 15hp boost as well for that coin 🤑

Did a few things this weekend.
Scooped up this stuff from a 2020 4Runner off marketplace for cheap:

Was really only interested in the struts and springs but he threw in the knuckles and control arms. I'll be selling those off at some point.

Thanks to @DRANGED and his first gen Tundra spring thread, I scooped up these first gen Sequoia springs:

I'll add measurements and such to that previously mentioned thread.

Then I installed this Skar in place of the stock Pioneer:

Damn thing is beastly by comparison.

NICE!!

I may be interested in those 5100 rear shocks (if you'd let them go cheaply). I'm still rolling the rear GX stockers but with a 1" rear airbag hack, so I'd rather have a longer travel shock (5160s eventually)...
In that Tundra spring thread, I found some info in Tundra threads that may shed more light on the specs based on those color paint splotches.
might be be good data to know. Should tell you sidedness at least and potentially which trim they go to. You should be able to tell sidendess though with height. Driver from my Tundras was 0.25" taller...
I Wonder how compatible with Sequoias the tundra threads may be.
good find/try! I Sequoias may have higher rate even b/c wagon. SCORE!

Mine were red-blue, red-yellow.

Not the right one unfortunately. It's the dual 2 ohm rather than dual 4 ohm. The factory sub is a dual 4 ohm voice coil and each is wired separately. I'm letting it ride for the short term but will be replacing it with a dual 4 ohm.

Due to that find on marketplace, I'm pivoting slightly on my suspension plans. Part of that score were Icon 52700 rear springs. I'll be utilizing the 5100's on all four corners.

That said, I do have those FJC TT shocks /struts that I no longer need and will be unloading with those T4R knuckles and control arms.

Pulled it out of the garage so I can figure out why my garage door opener doesn't work. I sure like eyeballing those D line rotors at Apache Off Road

Finally got around to cleaning up some cables then immediately adding some USB ports for…more cables! Idea was to keep things clean and OEM-ish.

Ended up making a custom switch for the Weboost and then wiring the switch + relay combo. Then with the other slot, plopped in a USB-A and USB-C combo port. Much better use of space where the AHC (?) controls were, at least before I owned this.

I gotta say, running wires through the drivers side fire wall sucks ass. This time though, I ran the wires through the passengers firewall grommet which was way easier. However, getting the rubber grommet ‘sleeve’ back in place in the engine bay side was a fail. If anyone had any secrets, please let me know!
