Installed the Coverado seat covers and the armrest covers, both from Amazonia. Are they as good as a full reupholster job? Nope. Are they the perfect combination of price, quality, and value? Yup! Very happy and a nice upgrade for the next 175,000 miles.

Replaced the rear sway mount bushings with Moog’s. Originals were cracked up and balloon soft.
Also dialed out a 1/2 turn of rebound and 1 turn of compression. Added 1 full turn of both from Bilstein’s recommended settings to haul the travel trailer a month ago.

Also dropped off a load of curbing.

We almost need to make a "GXs at Work" thread to show just how good these rigs are at dragging trailers, tools, and materials around :).

Aluminum car hauler? If so, that looks nice! I'll eventually want a 7x17 or larger flat deck trailer for hauling my tractor and other large items - and will have to consider DIYing a lightweight one out of rectangular steel tube or buying an aluminum trailer.

Standard car hauler. Dove tail, weighs about 1100lb. It does have removable sides that bolt on. Hardly ever use them. It’s a PJ trailer. Bought it new in 2017. Been great, no problems at all. Just maintenance, repacking bearings, adjusting brakes and tires.

Thanks! That's super-light. The last tandem axle flatbed I rented was a steel equipment trailer and must have weighed 3,000+ empty. The GX pulled it but it was super-saggy in the back and a bit rough-riding.

I stuffed some Firestone air bags for a Tahoe in the rear springs to eliminate sagging. Night and day difference. Tows so much better level!

I picked one up at Harbor Freight for around $150 that will read ABS codes.
Well you were right. I damaged both abs cables smh. I purchased this SCAN TOOL
which is similar techstream. It had mixed reviews. Figured I give it a try. I purchased the unit with Toyota/Lexus software preinstalled. It was on sale at the time $150. I can purchase other manufacturer software it need be in the future. It was nice to actually see what was going on with the truck instead of throwing parts at it. Both front speed sensor were reading zero when driving. Replaced ABS cables from the local pull and pay. Everything good now.

I was also able to complete a zero point calibration and turned off DRL.

Those ABS cables need to be sweet talked when being touched. Congrats on the fix.

Mostly over this weekend, but got her a good wash/cleaning, and just simple stuff like checking fluids. minor coolant leak ive been watching, have to top it off every 6 months ago. gasket around the thermostat is seeping but its hardly enough to bother fixing right now. RF tie rod has some oil or steering fluid on it, oil level is fine and PS fluid was low. so adding that to the list to see how fast it is leaking. its not leaving any drips which is a good sign. got new spark plugs, pcv valve, ac drain reroute, and rear diff breather all in a box waiting to go to my parents to install. she cleans up pretty dang good for almost 250,000.

Do these fog lights throw out a lot of light? Good cut off?
I didn’t really even test them other than to verify that they turned on. They seem fine and haven’t leaked and we are getting a lot of rain recently.

Completely unrelated but I finished installing a 4Runner exhaust today and also replaced charcoal canister and filter. Then I replaced all the associated hoses, in engine compartment and underneath. Evap codes all gone.

I am guessing you bought generic vacuum hose and then just removed the old hoses and paired up with new hose and cut to length? Fortunately this hasn't been an issue for me yet, but I am sure it will eventually

Yes, everywhere I could. There are a few hoses, especially in engine bay, which have some insulation covering them and that didn’t easily transfer to the new hoses. So I bought some insulation and tried to mimic the oem locations to the best of my ability. I also replaced all the spring clamps, some of those had rusted badly.

The charcoal canister filter comes with both hoses attached, that was a nice surprise. The plastic hoses that connect to the charcoal canister are a PITA to disconnect, so having a new hose for one connection saved me quite a few F bombs.

I got a brand new charcoal canister off eBay for $250, it’s genuine and was worth the money (to me) to replace. But I think the canister filter was the culprit, or one of its hoses. So glad this is done.
