Well.. maybe we're all done with our rigs and now we're talking about tree houses? And besides, we all still care, at least I do. I like to see what Reds doing to his. His seat reupholstered job is amazing.

I started mine up and moved it out to the curb so could put my F150 in the garage and do some work to it. I decided that rather then spend 70k on a new truck I'd go through mine and repair, replace and update it. It's got the 4.6l V8 and it's a good strong engine. I was amazed at all the aftermarket available for it.

2008 F150 : 175k miles.. all new front end, uca's, power steering pump, rotors, pads, bearings, steering rack and rod ends, shocks , struts, 2" levelers up front, alignment, ac compressor - (this was a JOB, thing is buried), idler pulleys, serpentine belt, all fluids replaced, tune up, driver seat bottom new cushion and reupholstered, new jvc stereo head w double din screen and jbl speakers, svt wheels & bfg tires, tonneau cover, bed liner, bumpers, headlights, hvac actuators, fan resistor and switch panel, wheel well trim, driver door ajar switch, intake manifold (old one leaking coolant). There's probably more, just can't remember. I didn't do it all, some I contracted out, but I did most of it.

s*** gets so gross. I’ve been working on my old red. New fuel pump and in cleaning up the column shifter. That’s my GX hood! Just want to keep it related.

It was all F150 grime, me getting in and out of the GX to move it in/out of the garage after working the Ford. Nice looking Bronco, my buddy has a 69 that he's gone through. Beautiful old truck.

We bought the Bronco about 11 years ago when we got married. Some drunk kid hit and totaled my AWD Previa. Absolutely loved that vehicle. The Bronco is a 73. Eventually we will go through it. Only have replaced the radiator and the fuel pump. Too scared to touch anything else, she’s kinda running on bubble gum and baling wire. One day I’ll haul a trailer to LMC and get started.

I have one of those too. Defintely cuts the mess, but I'm kind of disappointed with how slllllloooooooooowwwww it drains. I usually work on other things while it drains out.

I think I'll just lay there and look at it.. Really, though,, I normally would go do something else..what oil you using Red? Then theres always the giant discussion about 6.5, 6.6 or just putting 7.. Thoughts?

Mobil 1 5W30 High Mileage for mine. I usually stock up when it's cheap at Wal-Mart. I've also ran Valvoline MaxLife, which is semi-synthetic and cheaper than Mobil.

I was reading though .. quite a discussion about going to synthetic on higher mileage engines and the possibilities of leaks developing. Ive got 65k and running conventional Toyota 5/30.. . I put 6.6 qts.. with the filter change.. I think the 65k check calls for brakefluid change as well. Thats gonna be at the Toyota dealer I think and I'll do it after I put the 460 front brakes in..

Edit: I dug around and its the 60k that calls for the brake fluid change.

Awesome video, hopefully a customer for life! I had a 2001 Tundra towed in with a broken Timing belt. It has 200k on the original belt and spark plugs. We were all amazed it survived too!
Ran like new after a belt and some maintenance.

I wouldn't take a chance but it's an indication of the robustness of our engines.
