Rented a teardrop trailer and spent a few nights on the Oregon Dunes near Coos Bay.
Avid campers, my wife and I go between a killer OZ ground tent, and our RTT.
We thought we’d try this, to see if set-up and tear-down was any easier. Boy, is it!
We got caught in a wind and rain storm last night...instead of getting worried about the elements, I got peacefully toasted on some good Rye.
Hmm...I guess this is what they mean when they say “glamping”...

Added a Smittybilt Axe + Shovel mount. I thought they'd look so much bigger but the GX makes everything look small.

@thesquidd - what brand shovel and axe did you go with? Thanks! Nice setup... Monday morning eye candy!!!

Continued modernizing(rice out) the interior. Wrapped wood trim, modified and installed OEM carbon fiber F sport shift knob (had to cut the original shifter to JB weld a plastic end piece to the new shifter so that it clicks into the chrome ring on the boot, better solution would be 3d print an adapter that screws on). Installed carbon fiber handbrake handle from amazon. Need to wipe the finger prints off of the wrap. When it's warmer I'd like to try carbon fiber skinning the wood trims. Vinyl wrap doesn't have the luster of a thick layer of epoxy resin.

Time to play catch up...

Yesterday: Put deposit on 2006 Lexus GX 470, non-nav, Gray interior. Being delivered from Nashville, TN on Monday (12/14)
Today: Ordered New head unit, Partsouq window trim, OME kit and rear coil conversion
Tomorrow: Sell wallet on fire and softly sob soft kitty...

Recently purchased this 2005 GX from dad, who was the original owner. Only 113k miles. Just got the suspension, wheels, and tires on. Ended up being a long wait…almost 5 months from when I ordered it. Icon is insanely backed up. Went with the Icon Stage 2 with upgraded 2.5” in the rear, 5 x TRD Pro wheels, 5 x BFG KO2 275/70R17, all new TPMS sensors, and also replaced LCA’s with OEM. Folks at Demello Offroad installed it. Definitely recommend them. Also replaced the headlamps with OEM sport, taillamps with ’08-’09 OEM sport, installed a roof rack delete kit, and installed fresh XPEL tint.

Very bummed - I was planning on doing a full build on this truck, but unfortunately due to recent events, I may have to sell it in the near future. Will post to classifieds if I do.

DECENT!

Finally got around to installing new OEM sport foglights to replace my yellowed originals that had been resurfaced twice but keep fading. Also got new rear mudflaps to replace the ones I messed up while trimming them- they also keep mud off the rear bumper nicely. I plan to just pull them off when hitting trails so I dont crush them on a ledge or boulder. Truck looks waay better with these new fogs.

I bought the OEM fogs on ebay and they shipped in 3 days from the UAE. Ive been having great luck sourcing toyota parts this way and the prices are waaayy lower than here usually. I sourced the mudflaps from Rallye Lexus in NY on their website last week. They were half price on sale. They may still have a sale on OEM parts.

Could you post a link to the fogs? Also did you install new headlights or just resurface? Looks great!
